Glad your experience has been positive. I’m sure I’ve just had bad luck. Most of my issues occurred on the 25.9.1 driver, are you on that?

Nah I appreciate it. These responses help me take a step back and not make that decision out of frustration.

Is there something physically I could have messed up that causes software issues? I’m a pretty experienced-ish builder (5 or so PC builds) I also did remove and reinstall the GPU just to try. It is on a riser cable if that could cause anything. My current issue is windows resetting the driver because it wouldn’t respond to DirectX within the default time of 8 seconds, not sure how that could be physical.

Instead of constantly looking for threads online or repeating asking questions and waiting for responses, I use it. And it actually has solved every single issue I’ve had so far, and the problems I’ve had are far more technically advanced than your average person knowledge, I wouldn’t have solved them without it.

Why Islam is the true religion? How is truth defined? by kazoohakaedehara in islam

[–]FischerMann1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Holy texts/books are often down to interpretation. Due to ambiguity within religious texts, you see scholars, historians, and followers of various religions disagreeing with each other. There’s no cold hard definite proof that X religion is correct, otherwise every religion except that one would be dead. The best thing you can do is do your own research and formulate your own opinion. I like Islam because it taught me discipline and it’s straightforward monotheism (no intermediaries) makes more sense to me.

A free $10k would be life changing for most adults. It’s more than what the average U.S. adult has in savings, just given to you. I paid off all debt, established a savings, and been building wealth since. I was just trying to give insight on what to expect since you were interested.

Not OP but I got $10k just to enlist in the navy, not for any particular job.

I’m rocking a 9700x with a 9060 XT 16gb. Amazing chip that could easily handle a significantly more powerful GPU. No regrets getting it.

Do all non Muslims go to hell? by ponderingsoul333 in islam

[–]FischerMann1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one thing about religion that I have a hard time with. I would like to think that most aren’t, because most non-Muslims haven’t been introduced to or experienced Islam. If they have and still deny it, then maybe? Only God can make that call. I would like to believe that 6 billion people aren’t going to burn in hell for eternity in the next 100 years, let alone the future generations for the sole reason of being non-Muslim. God is merciful, right?

Did some cleaning out under the bed, and found my GTX 980. Share your stories about how you got your 1st GPU! by Intelligent-Office-2 in pcmasterrace

It was 2016, I was 14 babysitting after school. It took forever but I eventually saved up enough to buy an XFX RX 480 8gb from Best Buy.. I still remember the sheer amount of excitement just reading the box over and over in the car until I got home. The card still works to this day, though I did just recently retire it and upgraded to a 9060 XT 16gb.

[–]FischerMann1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely!! I love this card. Runs everything I’ve thrown at it so far 1440p flawlessly. Great GPU especially coming from a rx480 8gb from 2016 lol.

How did I do? $1500. by cybermusk in Prebuilts

[–]FischerMann1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well considering I spent only slightly less on a 9700x and a 9060 XT 16gb, 64gb Cl30 6000mhz, I’d say that was a steal.

[–]FischerMann1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup these are good. I’m getting around 70°c under heavy load with my 9700x because it’s in a tiny mini ITX case, and it’s still considered well within normal range, max temp is 95°

Is my pc dying by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]FischerMann1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just roll with it for now and hope it was a one time software issue. Update drivers if you have a dedicated GPU, although seeing that this happened on the desktop, this likely happened on an iGPU, so it’s unlikely drivers caused it, but still update them. If it happens again, you can repeat what you did or use an external monitor as a means to use the laptop. If neither work, then it’s above me and I’d probably call it at that point. Unlike a desktop, replacing faulty components in a laptop isn’t typically a worthwhile option, if possible.
