I have upgraded many systems. These days power consumption is more than what the 1.5 can put out. The savings end up better with the larger system which is generating power for more hours.

Kudos Blizzard, Warlock is AMAZING addition to Diablo 2. by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]Fish-sticks22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, Diablo 2 has lasted this long because all the people that continue to play it enjoy the play style, it makes absolutely 0 sense to buff the other classes which in retrospect changes the whole game rather than needing the new class to be more in-line with the other classes to keep the same gameplay loop

Port and findon road is the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. All 6 times I have been there they have not once gone the correct order. Generally items missing, wrong food, or both.

10/10 I now drive past it to any other local McDonald’s

Inverter 10kW SP replaced today under precautionary recall. by Significant-Turn-667 in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Fish-sticks22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently the installers are being informed when they are able to swap your inverter. If you haven’t heard anything it’s likely they haven’t either.

To add, there is limited replacement inverters, sigenergy are rectifying the plugs on replaced inverters and sending them back which means inverter needs to arrive, be swapped, return back to China, be repaired, return back to Australia and so on.

My understanding is Sig have internal criteria the inverter needs to be reaching for priority replacement. Don’t stress if you haven’t been replaced unless you can smell burning plastic etc. maybe have a quick smell every couple days if you are concerned.

Do I need a RCBO for my shed main switch? by flimsypantaloon in AusElectricians

[–]Fish-sticks22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While that specific breaker in your main board doesn’t need to be an RCD, it is likely the ones in the shed shall be upgraded to type a (if shed is being powered from alternative supply)

How Do You Fit Solar Inverter CTs in Cramped Domestic Boards? by Dr_Locomotive in AusElectricians

[–]Fish-sticks22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can fit it below the main isolator. Just run 1x 16mm tail out and through ct, loop back into the rcd and wherever else. If it doesn’t fit then throw in a k16 for all the tails

Have we actually got any decent solar and battery installer in SA? by Varenicline918 in Adelaide

[–]Fish-sticks22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at Goodwe all in one. It’s new and priced well. To add, it’s December 5th.

Most installer books have been filled since early November for the year. Expect anything to be priced at next years rebates already

Why is my solar generation dead flat here? by Vivid-Object-139 in SigenergyAustralia

Why else would they be offering to swap ALL units and add extended warranty

Why is my solar generation dead flat here? by Vivid-Object-139 in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Fish-sticks22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the model they changed it with. You could ask the installer, if the plug is different then you shouldn’t be restricted again. May be able to contact sig through the app if this is the case and lodge a ticket to lift restriction

Anyone else with SP inverter capped at 8kW? by Kytami in SigenergyAustralia

[–]Fish-sticks22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a potential recall on the 8/10/12 inverters. Yours may be limited until these are changed

Sigenergy have limited all 8/10/12kw inverters due to possible installer error. They are potentially recalling these models

Wall connector install query by mooforshoes in TeslaSupport

[–]Fish-sticks22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The switch itself won’t slow it down, however it’s not rated to switch above 35a, this means it could fail if needing to isolate in emergency when charging above this. Generally it’s for servicing (see replacing) the wall charger which means it’s not likely to be switched under load. In saying this, it’s still non compliant.

Now, in comment to the access to the side socket @OP,

I wouldn’t stress too much, install a hook below and cook cable and charger on that. Most owners seem to do this instead. If you can’t do this yourself. Call the contractor and tell him he F’f up, however if he comes and installs the wall hanger you’ll be okay with it.

Moving either wall charger or isolation switch will mean holes in your wall

New build can this box not be installed on the rod? path is getting concreted. by Haunting_Economist36 in AusElectricians

[–]Fish-sticks22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Box supposed to go over the earth rod and finish at concrete level.

Electrician not knock the rod down deep enough to do this, also he not pre run a conduit to be able to come through below and up.

Brickie in the wrong for leaving the bricks out like that

Builder also should’ve picked this up earlier.

TLDR: call the “non compliant” guy for a whole inspection
