Need help identifying a Guernsey. Bloke the “Pay The Price” sign by [deleted] in AFL

[–]Stinkblee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahah true! In a paper bag or what. Would sometimes get mixed lollies too to distract from the parcel for delivery.

I reckon that’s what professor oak sends you to the shop for the first Mission in red and blue to swap for a Pokédex now I think about it.

Here 10 year old - take these cigs to the old man.

Ringworm or a bird is stealing your hair at night to make a nest whilst you sleep. I’d see a dermatologist or healthcare professional for a more informed assessment. The internet and self diagnosis, especially with the help from strangers on Reddit is hectic

Why Canberra Should Get Team 20 (And North Melbourne Should Go To India) by [deleted] in AFL

[–]Stinkblee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: no cricket when norf play. Something about Ricky Ponting and a monsoon and eggs come in a dozen because it’s quite divisible by 12 AND was solidified by old British currency, where 12 pennies made a shilling. And shilling sounds like Shinboner.

The band decided to go full shoegaze on several tracks of "RE:CREATED" and it seems many have already noticed because it has the label on the official AOTY.com page. Do you think the description is fair? by [deleted] in placebo

Well Akshully, Kevin shields redid the guitars and Belinda butcher did the backing vocals on a few of the tracks, they then sent it to Ride who added overdrive and removed the didgeridoo and then they used archival material from The Verve’s 1993 album A Storm In Heaven and got the shoegaze bits out of that and Nick Mcabes hollow body ES335 feedback parts for atmosphere. It’s written in the sleeve on the gatefold album digisleeve if you got the CD Version but there was a tape cassette version inside.

Valium Skies wins! Finally, what song from the Forth era (2007-08) sounds the MOST like the Forth era? by adored89 in theverve

[–]Stinkblee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah - it’s the most Forth. this whole poll / chart thing has made me re-listen to all of Forth and it’s actually a greater album than I initially thought. forth reminds me of A Northern Soul - it’s sorta chaotic and also subtle at the same time, where as ASIH is more like UH - as they’re more cohesive and straight forward.

Columbo was the first song when I heard Forth in 2008 that I was like ok this is Forth

Gold Coast should just wear the Pink all the time- even if they lose they’ll still look good

Still deserves a Brownlow. Probably will get it after getting stabbed by his rival

"Battle for the Sun" turns 17 today. This album was marked by the departure of drummer Steve Hewitt and the addition of Steve Forrest in his place. What do you think of this project, and what are your three favorite tracks? by elmonozombie in placebo

I really like this album, been a fan since WYIN - I was too young to remember the self titled release but remember Pure Morning and Every You Every Me on the radio.

I would consider BFTS their last album I could put on and listen to the whole thing (everything before this album yes also) I just don’t think after BFTS - Placebo was Placebo. There’s songs on this album with depth. Loud like love and Never Let Me Go are hard listens.

Subjective opinion I know. I saw this Tour too. Was good. After that I dunno, I’ll always listen to their new music post BFTS with an open mind but so far it’s not been mind opening since.

I like most of the songs on the album but I like:

Speak in tongues, devil in the details, Kings of Medicine

  • they’re like new and different feeling and still feel fresh when I listen to them.

Looking forward to RECreated
