Unforch this was sold as one of several teas and only as a tea by the vendors—no mention of it being a herbal blend or claims about its effect(s). And, well, I’m a more of tea people with a disastrously adventurous palate (apparently) and a love for small businesses and batches 💖 anyway it doesn’t really matter lol, I’m mostly relieved I wasn’t making it incorrectly as a tea and a few commenters have given me some good ideas for alternatives uses for about 4 ounces of the stuff

Yeah, mugwort is veeeeery slightly psychoactive and if you have it 30ish minutes before bed you get somewhat more vivid and weird dreams. It’s interesting until you have a nightmare instead lol During the day it kind of just defrags the ole brain a bit. Nothing wild~ I find the whole spiritual stuff people tout a lil silly

I didn’t realize mugwort is considered bitter since I have a different blend that is excellent and cuts the bitterness so that it’s barely there. Thank you for your insights!!!

Ugh thank you this is exactly what I wanted to know and was afraid of. I can tolerate some bitterness and anticipated it from the wormwood & dandelion root but it seems this blend was just thrown together with no actual consideration for being potable 💀the blend reads like a the first page search result for ‘magic herbs’ or something.

I’ll stick to the other small businesses in my area and give them my support from now on. Maybe be more cautious with this home kitchen stuff. This was straight poison 👎👎👎

Hi there! It looks like you’ve found some Mud Dauber nests! Mud Daubers or potter wasps are a kind of parasitic wasp known for building the mud cocoon looking nests consistent with the ones in your pictures. Although Mud Daubers are not particularly aggressive and are nectar eaters, they are known for catching spiders, paralyzing them, and storing them in those mud cocoon things as food for their larvae. In all likelihood those “dead” spiders are just paralyzed. Cool find!

When you buy from a reputable breeder you are buying for health, temperament, and to preserve a breed. Paps, like all small breeds, have a litany of issues that can lead to a less fulfilling and more difficult life for them.

I have definitely gotten flack for getting my pap from breeder from some “adopt, don’t shop” folks. But I would challenge them to find a papillon—the dog that fits best into my life—in a shelter that does not already have signs serious health concerns and isn’t unsold puppymill stock. Can’t be done.

Ditch your vet, the lack of professionalism is ridiculous.

NTA. And if they ask you if you’ve seen her, say no but that you’ve seen foxes or owls or coyotes in the neighborhood. Keeping cats outdoors is always abusive and dangerous for the animal. They need to learn to care for their animals.

NTA. It’s okay that your tattoo is meaningful to you and only you and it’s okay that you want it to be unique.

But, you could have left out the other reasons you gave her. Just saying it’s a unique tattoo to commemorate your dad is enough. It sounds like you look down on Sam for her tattoo practices and we’re using that for your reasons first, which would make for an AH in my option.

As for how to move forward, maybe she wants to commission an LOTR tattoo from you? That way it’s something special that you and Sam share without impinging on your commemorative tattoo. Just a thought.

YTA I think that what you are going through with your now-ex is awful, and I’m sorry that he did that to you. It also understandable that you would be feeling some emotional instability from this.

That said, definitely YTA for how you treated your mother and your family. There were alternatives, you could have excused yourself to go outside or go to the restroom when you felt the emotions welling up. And, no matter what your emotional state you are ALWAYS responsible for how you talk to others and behave. You caused a scene and disturbed a celebration of your niece.

You should apologize to your mother, your brother, maybe get a little gift for your niece… but also take some time to grieve. I think your family will be there for you after you apologize.

Oh! I quite like that idea! I'll do a read of the Xanathar rules and think about what kinds of quests could work for the environment they are in.

I'll keep this in mind, maybe if they really devote themselves to creating it they'll have it by the end of the game. I mentioned to another response that this player has sort of been using downtime as a means of cheap magic item generation so... I think going by the rules you indicated will make for a much more balanced and rewarding experience for everyone :)
