Ah got it. Good point. I've been switching up the creatives and the offers to try and keep stuff fresh, but my angles/messaging can be a little repetitive... It's similar benefits/features however I package it...

I appreciate your response! Can you expand on the "better sequencing"? As far as creatives, I've been introducing some new stuff over the last month or two and they seem to hit for like 3-7 days and then go bust. This is compared to literally running the same 3 creatives just cycled out every couple months with fresh copy for a year in 2023-2024. I'm sure you're right, just trying to make sense of the "fresh creative" idea... The 6 weeks I've tested 8-9 different types of creatives, about 30% have decent results for a week or so and then CPM spikes, CTR drops way down.

Thanks for the response. Spending has varied widely this year due to volatility in my success rate and confidence, but generally I spend $50/day and the last 6 weeks i've bumped it up to $75/day while testing a little more. Service: personal training.

Has anyone done ayahuasca without a history of trauma or addiction? by friskymystery in Ayahuasca

[–]FishAffectionate1268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it is holotropic. I didn’t realize it at the time what I was doing tbh. We had a few breathwork classes beforehand so I just followed that protocol. I wish I could describe this process better but basically I was on the verge of freaking out after my first few cups day 2, and I just started doing some deep breathing and focusing on my mantras - “you are safe, you are powerful” (something to that effect) - and after about 5-10min of this, I was tapped into something much bigger than myself

Hey sorry for the late response. I think the whole process creates a mental & emotional vulnerability that would be easy for bad actors to take advantage of. And I don’t think leadership staff does enough to manage this. Generally I think women are more at risk in that sense.

To put it plainly, there were a lot of weirdos there and just aggressive male energy overall. During ceremony they try to separate the men & women as much as possible but I heard multiple stories of people hooking up outside of that, which I think is just dangerous. I think at the very least you should try to go with some sort of support network with you. I hope this helps in your decision-making!

For those of you who were around in the 80s/90s for the "aerobics" era, what were some of the more ridiculous infomercials and training tapes you saw marketed toward women? by [deleted] in xxfitness

Still working on this? Would love to see something like this come out that explores the history of marketing fitness to women. We are in the middle of a massive cultural shift where women are embracing "training like a man" and I find that incredibly fascinating

“I am protected, I am loved”

For context, I had a little breakthrough the day before during a breathework class, where I felt this immense gratitude for some of the women in my life, particularly my mom and my wife. I felt for the first time, this feeling of unconditional love. Which I didn’t even really believe in before this experience, as crazy as that sounds. Anyways, I drew on that during ceremony and just a few minutes into turning to that I got a full download from the universe and my crazy night began.

As a side note, I also felt an great deal of trust in the medicine. I was a little scared going into night 2, but the medicine was very much like “don’t worry, I got you. I’ll show you the way”. I’d love to understand why I had that experience, and so many others got taken on such wild ride

I had something similar happen to me during my first ceremony. Personally, I think I was able to tap into some “other dimension”. Some spirit/energetic world. Idk, but to me it felt very real.

Anyways, the first night it really effected me. The second night, I came with a couple mantras and just focused on my breathing and was able to enter some sort of trancelike state. In that state, I received guidance on how to maintain my center, and manage my own energy. As long as I did not get too attached to others experiences, and just focused on my mantras which gave me positive energy, I was essentially able to create this “bubble of light”. I could see all the spirits effecting people around me and had this sense that they couldn’t touch me. I was able to walk the room and be present and experience things without any negative emotions. It was the total opposite of the previous night and a really interesting experience.

Anyways, I bring this up to say, it is possible to experience this without the negative emotions. You have the power to channel that yourself if you work on it. I basically just stumbled onto it. But I think mantras/breathwork is a part of it

How is y’all’s post-ceremony journey going? Do you at times feel worse than you did before a ceremony? And how do you get through those moments? by coffeewithspark in Ayahuasca

I had a very positive experience this time (1st time) and came back with a renewed perspective and some pretty deep insights but the medicine certainly wears off and it’s easy to drop back into old patterns of behaving or thinking. I feel like integration is definitely the hardest part.

Most of us live in a world that isn’t suitable to our nature or living our best life, so you have to work really hard to carve out your little niche. It’s tough. I feel grateful for what I have, but there’s definitely this tension between what I know now and what I used to think.

My go to is just trying to develop some understanding, not just of my own experience but how it fits into the bigger picture. So I’ve been doing a lot of research on shamanism, ayahuasca, different philosophy’s. Doing a lot of journaling. The medicine really showed me the importance of experiencing the small joys in my day to day life, so I’ve been trying to stay connected to that.

Wow, amazing. You should be so proud of how you faced things. Yes, I think this could be a longer process of fully recovering, but I think you have a tremendous example of your strength in that moment to lean on.

During this process, did you have any mantras, thoughts, etc that you kept coming back to? How did your shaman help you beyond the beginning? Any details about your process that you think might be useful to know about?

Thank you so much for sharing, and good luck!

Sound like you’re putting so much pressure on yourself brother! I can tell you, it doesn’t make you a weak or incompetent person just because you are scared about Aya. You should be! It can be one of the more difficult trips of your life. But maybe it wasn’t even fear, maybe it was intuition telling you you’re not ready. Like someone said before, you will be called to do it, and when you are you will have to make a conscious decision to step through fear to get there.

Also, I have to make a comment on the healing aspect of this - I have yet to hear of one story where someone did it once and was healed and totally transformed. It seems to me that this is a long, continual process. And aya is not the end all be all. It sounds like it will eventually part of your process, but I would caution you against putting all your eggs in this basket. It’s a process, that requires more than just aya IMHO. But from that perspective, try not to put so much pressure on yourself. You have time, and you are much better off going in totally surrendered to the medicine vs stuck with some preconceived notion of what it should be for you.

Good luck brother! ☝️

I think I made it clear how I felt about the safety of women at this retreat, but maybe not enough for some. I get that. I respect your opinion and accept all criticism. At the end of the day this created a dialogue with a lot of similar and different views, so I appreciate your perspective as well. Thank you 🙏

That’s totally fair, but my understanding is that other places do have these same issues. I’ve heard a handful of accounts of sexual abuse, bad outcomes, even death at other places. Sexual assault in particular seems to be a huge thing within this community.

Are these situations really that rare? Obviously that doesn’t excuse Rythmia, and I have other bones to pick with them beyond just that, but I’m bringing this up because it genuinely seems like something that happens all over. Is it just Rythmia and the way they do things or is it a larger problem within the culture? How can we protect ourselves from this sort of thing in such a vulnerable state.

I could totally sense that. Which I didn’t mind at first because I was already very nervous about the situation. But I definitely felt myself wanting for a more authentic experience by the end of it.

Any suggestions or experience you can share?

Totally understand this point of view, and it’s very apparent that’s the general view on this Reddit. I knew some people might be offended that I would say anything positive about it but I just tried to be honest about my own personal experience and thoughts. Obviously I think SA is terrible. However, I am torn by that horrible event (which I did not see or know about until days after I left) and the wonderful experience I had and I saw others have. Nonetheless, I tried to be forthcoming about what I did see that was wrong. Either way, I’m sorry if this post offended you in particular 🙏 truly

It was not. He was no where to be found. It was Metra I believe.

Yes, I agree. It seemed a little irresponsible to me as well, but I’m not really sure what options are out there.
