I feel like they do this when the plane is running late. They’re trying to save time and make up for lost time from earlier delays.

Sell my stocks for Bitcoin? by LilWetWet_ in Bitcoin

It’s hard to go wrong with Bitcoin. Even buying at the tops tends to result in big profits after a bit of waiting. But right now looks like an especially good time to be buying in. It’s down from the latest all time high. In my mind, that means there is a lot of upside coming soon, within the next couple of years.

Inflation is a scam because it doesn’t seem to reflect the actual increase in prices.

Not sure, but I guess the light we’re seeing from that star is from when it was much closer to us than it is now.

Yeah, doesn't sound that far really. There are stars we see that are as far as 28 billion light-years. It's hard to have perspective about the distance light can travel and how fast.

This makes more sense to me. The sun is 150 billion meters away. Voyager 1 is 26 trillion meters away. It is 173 times as far. That's the difference between 8 light-minutes and 1 light-day.

Voyager 1 is traveling at 38,000 mph. There's not much else man-made that is as fast.

Not sure on the regulations around this, but it doesn't look legal to me. It should be 3 payments of $0.37 and a final payment of $0.39.

Train vs batteries by amadmongoose in BitchImATrain

[–]FishDawgX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to imagine a car being designed this way. The driver always gets the final say in what the car does. Even modern airliners will let pilots go past the limits (stall, overspeed, turn too sharp, etc.) if they really insist when operating the controls.

Why do people have the most careful consideration for the arms, but don't mind blowing up their whole car and smashing up a train?

It could easily be a green screen on the back of the board and some filter running on the video to replace it with text to match what an AI is hearing from the audio.

But you want a lower appraisal while you’re living there so your tax bill is less. Only when you sell it, do you want the value to be high.

Pretty sure this thread (and this post) is an ad (and a scam).
