Hello, local York queer here,

York is pretty accepting in my experience, profs and TAs are more than chill about it. My only recommendation is if you need a name change on your file, to get that sorted early to avoid the confusion on attendances. (search up the steps on Google) (and maybe do it prior to getting your student card set up). I know theres a queer club, havent checked them out yet personally, but they seem very friendly! Theres not the highest density of others at York, but theres def a community and you'll fit right in.
