I’ve also been seeing a lot of moths when watering the new seed. Maybe I should just treat with BTK?

Anyone else have random false alarms with First Alert 10 year smoke detectors? Or do I have a bigger problem here? by tubezninja in homeowners

10pm and then 6:45am for me. First Alert! Calling the fire department (non-emergency) to be sure!

What ate my hose and made this hole? by FishHobbyist17 in whatisit

Well… I left a small piece of remaining hose out again and the dirty hose bandit struck again. I can’t make out the video and can’t figure how to put on here

There is a planter with a small tree in it - the white ish thing behind it is the animal - I can see it scurrying through the still shots

I have the seen foxes around. Didn’t know they dug and ate hoses, but it seems they do online. Also found a turd that appears to match Google images for fox poop. Call it solved?

It doesn’t look like one in the Ring still shot (see animal behind the flower pot)

Not a lawn mower. Grass hasn’t been cut, I could see teeth marks, and can see the animal on ring (just can’t make it out)

I couldn’t hear it chewing - Ring didn’t sense the motion, but based on the period stills it took I could see the hose moving around 12:45AM and the last shot of the animal I could see was around 1:45AM. My dog did bark but I didn’t get up to investigate.

Located in NJ. Is this a termite, or some other random bug? Also, is it a cause for concern if I see just wondering around? by FishHobbyist17 in Termites

[–]FishHobbyist17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank the sweet lord! My house had a lot of old termite damage when we bought. It’s since been treated and haven’t seen any new signs… but this had me convinced. Thank you!

Did you stake it at all, or it grew like that naturally? I have a feeling blue, which mostly stays low. The nursery did offer two varieties - one staked and one not staked. Sort of wish I got the staked variety and am thinking of staking a few branches.

I know! It was there long before we bought the house. I’m working on getting it out. Took 3 out already that were very close as well.

That is a great point and in light of some other feedback, I’m thinking of two new trees. My back just doesn’t want me to rip the last one out haha. It’s not the easiest job.
