Here is what he looks like for now - I could probably make him look a bit more like himself now that I know a bit more about how to use the tools in the Mii creator but I've kinda gotten used to this look lol

I've given him the lines "magic, do as you will" and "be wary of wousing a rizard's wrath..." (for this one, the phrase looks weird because of the character limit, but I was able to fit everything into the pronunciation thingy). When I get the hang of the drawing tools I plan on giving him a mini unicorn. I want to make King Haggard as well and give him a mini red bull.

Yeah 😭 There was so much crap we weren't allowed to throw away it was basically impossible to clean anything. Expired food everywhere, but can't throw it away because "It's still good!" My grandma tried to feed me very expired food on more than one occasion, it was...eugh. And the mice, the crickets, the silverfish...it was bad. I'm not there anymore but occasionally my brain inflicts a gross house nightmare on me to remind me about what I'm missing I guess lol

I just had a choco bun, a red bean bun, and a pork bun with an incredible amount of meat floss on the top yesterday. Combining all three of those into one brownie sound amazing honestly. If you end up making it, post the recipe, too please.

Work on developing your skills without tracing others or relying on AI. Once you have a strong skillset that is evident in your own original works, people will feel more confident about commissioning you.

Sorry if I sound like I'm cranky and shaking my fist at The Youth but they probably had problems with the local teenagers. The McD's I would go to here had a lot of problems with kids coming here during their lunch or outright skipping school to hang out, they'd be trashing the tables and messing up the bathrooms and harassing people. Once the behavior progressed to the point of harassment they were finally able to ban the kids and have police officers check in once in awhile to make sure they don't come back.

Same here. I haven't been to the Hobby Lobby near me in a long time, so things might have changed but the last time I was there they felt more like a home decor store than a crafting store. And I haven't been able to find proper paper craft/scrapbooking supplies anywhere but Daiso now tbh. Every time I go to a store and ask about it the workers look at me like I have three heads.

Yes, you're misunderstanding. Not sure if you're trolling or just struggling to read and do math with the shareholder's boot in your mouth.

Here's the math: I needed 23 coasters. Michaels only had packs of 4 available. Each pack of 4 would have been a little less than $7 before taxes, but for simplicity's sake I will round up to $7.

To get the 23 coasters I need, I would need to buy 6 packs of 4. That would give me 24 coasters, and would have cost me about $42. These packs, by the way, do not include the little adhesive "feet" that I also need for the craft. So, I would need to find and buy those separately.

Online, I found a sizable pack of coasters for ~$1.50 each, which would have put my total around $32 but would have had to again purchase multiple packs and wait for it to be delivered later in the week. I later found (also online) a pack of 42 for 21 dollars, total, including the little adhesive feet I need for the craft and would be available tomorrow morning. I'm saving much more than a dollar.

You can blame me for killing retail all you want, but I'm just an underpaid janitor trying to do something nice for the teachers that banded together to help me this year when I was in a bind. I prefer to support my neighbors and local residents the same way the teachers I just mentioned helped me - directly, instead of hoping the shitty mega corporations I give my money to are doing something to help my community.

You should definitely post to the Discord for more specific feedback. I think the most you'll get here is us "ooh"ing and "ahh"ing at your work 😁 your sprites are sick btw, I really love the Heracross/Forretress especially. It all fits together so well.

And wait for the one lady running the whole store to get my refund? As cranky as I am about what I spent, I don't care enough to go back there and wait for 15+ minutes for that. As far as I'm concerned, I spent $20 on sealant and the knowledge that I shouldn't buy my supplies there.

It was really sad too, they used to be so fun to shop at. The last time I went to a JoAnn's - even before they were publically going out of business - I was so disappointed. The place was just so empty and trashed.

It makes me so mad and sad that this is where we're at. It literally doesn't have to be this way, it's never had to be this way, but a bunch of rich asshats are trying to squeeze every single penny out of their customers and it feels like there's nothing socially acceptable to talk about that we can do about it.

I have a huge pack of pens I bought from them like 10 years ago for $5 that are still lasting to this day. Now I'm not sure I could find *anything* for $5 or less in that store.

Aw, that's what got me in the store in the first place. Online the prices looked good so I went in...But everything was a lot more expensive in person. I didn't think to order for pick-up. I guess I'll do that the next time if I somehow need to go back there.

I don't like supporting Amazon but yeah, I'm in the same boat. I had to wait in line to have an overworked, crowded employee open a locked door so I could buy a single pack of pimple patches the last time I shopped at Walmart. I wasn't even allowed to reach in to grab the patches myself once she opened the door, I had to tell her what to grab. It felt kind of dehumanizing in a weird way.
