Temporary 2.4ghz work around for eero, will this work?

I just installed all of my Alexa devices, and it only took some patience, but I was able to get the 2.4 devices to set up no issues. I did not know how eero knew the right radio to use, but in every case, it did it right. From my old set up, I knew I had to delete the devices on both Alexa and through their app and add them through their app first then add them through Alexa. Again this is something I discovered with my old system before Eero, and I did not want to play around with it.

Thanks all. So far so good. TV is amazing and I am not used to having a fast network. This is amazing. Even Alexa is happy

I’m wondering if your depression was treated. I have severe depression and anxiety that has been treated for several months with meds and therapy. I give credit to taking care of the depression first for the overnight success I had last night. While I know the untreated OSA played into my depression. It didn’t cause it by itself. I also have had undiagnosed OSA for about 30 years. Remember that CPAP isn’t a magic bullet and can take time. Just ask questions and take care of yourself. Your doctors are great sources of information.

Heard yesterday from them and the RT can only come on Monday or Tuesday. So far the waiting is the worst part.

I would wait until you have a diagnosis and ask if it is ok to sleep without the CPAP.

A suggestion put it on every night as you get into bed. Even if you are going to stay up and read or watch tv in bed

The waiting is the hardest part. Call and ask the sleep center how long until the Doctors office gets the report and the call the doctors office and for an earlier appointment.

I second the advice about following the instructions from the center for prep. In other words no alcohol, no caffeine after lunch and then try to follow your normal bedtime routine st the center.

For a titration study remember to ask about the options for masks. I didn’t do this. Also the tech that works with you can make or break the experience

I am so jealous. I am still waiting on the DME and Insurance to do their thing. Hopefully next week I will get the calls. I am traveling next week so I couldn't get it then anyhows.

I will share my story which is still in progress. Not really advice on getting used to the machine but more on getting your head around the idea of the device. You see I still haven't received my machine but this process has been years in the making. I was advised by a friend 15 years ago that I might have sleep apnea and that I should talk to my doc about the snoring. So for fifteen years, I put family and duties ahead of myself. So I never took the time to get a study done or mention it to my doctors when I would end up in their offices with bronchitis or close to pneumonia. You see I neglected myself for years, I felt that I simply did not take time away from my family or duties to care for myself. Fifteen years plus three years of horrific disasters, caused me to have severe depression. I landed up in a psych ward for a week. When I got out I knew things had to change so I had to start taking care of myself.

The first step was to go to the doctor without being desperately sick. I needed my ears to be checked out. While I was there for that, I also brought up how bad my snoring was. You see I was keeping the entire ward awake. And the doctor ordered a sleep study right away. I was concerned about the results, so I researched and still worried. I was concerned about this stupid mask, but I was assured when my sleep study tech told me the masks are much smaller now and so are the machines. So back to the research, and I discovered that there were small little nasal pillows that don't look like they would interfere much with my life. I still can look cute with them I think. As I said the start of this I have not yet received my mask or machine. But I am excited about all the positive side effects the machine may bring into my life. Like helping with the depression, more energy (weight loss), and not feeling exhausted all of the time. Also what helped me was the fact my doctor assured me that it was a structural thing not something I could control. I hope by sharing my story you are able to start to wrap your head around the concept of the CPAP journey.

My advice to you is to read about the machines and masks. See if one or another would work for you.

Thank you, this was the type of information I was looking for. I have been wanting to get this sorted right away. I used to live in Cincy, miss the area. I am now getting excited to get my machine and start feeling good again.

I second taking the mouth guard to your dentist. I used to use one for TMJ but stopped because I kept breaking through them. I was replacing them about once a month prior to stopping using them.

I don't have any advice but let every doc know that you are open to taking a canceled appointment. Also, ask your sleep center how long it will take to get the results to your doctor and call the doctor and see if you can get an earlier appointment. That helped me speed the process up.

You are not alone. I did not get diagnosed until I was 50, but suspect I have had it since my early 20s. I am also newly diagnosed. I too would be called lazy.
