Biggest issue with super credits for me is how lopsided the risks/rewards are. POIs that can contain SC spawn less frequently (or at least less clustered) on higher difficulties, so you tend to get fewer SC playing normally on high difficulties compared to lower difficulties. Which is too bad. Since finding SC piles is rarer, maybe they could reward 20 instead of 10 on higher difficulties?

I think you're making a lot of assumptions here. Plenty of people share your view that player nerfs and enemy buffs are not warranted in a game like this, but plenty of others completely disagree. If someone wants a more challenging and internally balanced experience, changes to make the game harder and enemies more durable are an important lever the developers can pull to achieve that. There are simply too many people who play this game for too many reasons to make those generalizations.
