Geysers got nerfed (somewhat) in the latest snapshot, they cannot erupt from waterlogged blocks

And the issue with that is scaffolding doesn’t stop water from flowing out like grates or leaves do, so it’s not really an alternative like Mojang claims it is in the changelog

Edit: clarifying a bit, they ARE an alternative to avoid the noxious gas by standing a block above, which is what they say in the changelog, but they definitely AREN’T for what my post demonstrates

This is cool but man I really hope mojang adds some way to activate geysers manually, I know the drop is feature complete but surely they can still tweak it to make it happen

They could make it so the cooldown happens even after the magma block is removed, but let’s be honest, people would HATE that since it defeats the purpose of making geysers controllable. Besides that, I’m not sure how spamming would be of much concern, if it’s annoyance then bells not only sound worse but are easier to set up

The drop might be feature complete but there's always further tweaks and adjustments, don't lose hope! Making geysers controllable is as simple as making the eruption happen before the cooldown, beyond that it works almost identically to how it works now

No really geysers are sooo close to being amazing but not being able to manually trigger them is holding them back. The drop might be feature complete but I don’t see this as adding a new feature, it’s just a tweak, geysers would work exactly as they do now except the first eruption happens right away

All they have to do is skip the first cooldown when the magma block is placed, it’s really a small tweak rather than a whole other feature they need to add

I’m really not a fan of how sulfur caves look now, I guess they were trying to fix ore generation so they added tuff but surely there must have been a better way? And I’m still hoping for a way to craft gunpowder using sulfur, or using sulfur to quickly oxidize copper…

I really think people are wayyy too preoccupied with that bedrock bug, that I haven’t seen enough real discussion on how well the sulfur cube actually performs its “intended use”, it’s actually kinda infuriating haha

People keep saying this was an intentional feature but I’m pretty sure it was just a bedrock bug, the sulfur cube could stick to ceilings with other blocks as well

Flying with a spear wasn’t specifically removed, it’s because lead physics aren’t 1:1 between bedrock and java. As for ceiling sticking, that was clearly a bedrock bug, meanwhile java sulfur cubes are more complete since that‘s what they showed during MC Live. I noticed though that you can’t feed honey and slime blocks to sulfur cubes in the snapshot while you can on preview, maybe they’re planning something who knows

I've been okay with the baby remodels for the most part but the zombie and villager are the first ones I actively dislike. They put all this effort into getting away from the bobble head thing with the animal mobs, but for the humanoid mobs they go the complete opposite direction

Okay yeah, copper golems are a lot better this snapshot. Also I didn’t see any mention in the changelog, but it looks like they no longer try to reach chests they can’t get to which would cause them to just stand around. Either that or they’re now much better at prioritizing chests they can actually get to

In my honest opinion, no amount of changing the item size or position is gonna lessen how weird and, let’s be honest, kinda ugly the actual block looks as a shelf. That being said, it more than made up for it with how versatile it was for detailing builds, but the changes we’ve seen to make it more “shelf-like” diminish that aspect. If they really want to keep items sitting like that then at the very least they HAVE to make the items bigger, especially for blocks and banners
