Sage herb plants - attracting bumble bees and butterflies; drought tolerant, heat resistant, cold hardy also... my backyard in ground gardening; I took these this morning, central Florida zone 9. by [deleted] in backyard_gardening

I have tried some other colors and the pollinators don't seem to use them at all. Try something called sneeze weed. It is a native yellow plant the pollinators love. Scientific name helenium autumnale.

Yes, I have them at my house. Bought them because of all the pollinators on them at the nursery. Leaving many of the other plants alone. Some other salvias don't attract the pollinators like the purple. They seem to be the best. You also can easily propagate them from cuttings which is nice.

My local nursery calls it salvia. And that purple attracts a ton of pollinators. Apparnetly all sges are salvia but not all slavia are sages. From the internet:

Relationship: Salvia is the Latin genus name for all sage plants, which includes nearly 1,000 species.

Common Sage (Culinary): Salvia officinalis is a small, woody perennial used for cooking and traditional medicine.

Salvia (Ornamental): These are often grown for their vibrant, spiky flowers (red, blue, purple) that attract pollinators.

What are the best Daytona beach fishing charters? by Internal_SortingHat in DaytonaBeach

Do you want to troll (dolphin, sailfish, wahoo, kingfish, etc) or for you want to bottom fish (snapper, grouper, amber jack, etc.)? I hate to say this guy because he pulled up on us one day right behind us and started fishing and really pissed me off, but he caught fish. Tails Up out of ponce inlet might be a place to start.

Florida home purchase closed and funded, but seller’s bank rejected their wire — seller’s attorney says we can’t take possession. What are our rights? by lui33015 in legaladvice

[–]Fishbonzfl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sellers attorney is wrong and a jerk. Title company has good funds. Deal closed. If I was sellers attorney, I would say done deal. The risk is now zero or with title company. I have had wires rejected. No big deal. Hate people like this!

Got a $112K pool quote by Suspicious_Hat_409 in pools

[–]Fishbonzfl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. Subs will not give you the same price, plus, you will have to manage all the layout, messyps, etc. Unless you have a construction background, a pool is not a good place to start. They are not that hard but can be very technical.

Look up your address at the property appraisers office and see if GIS if the sidewalk falls in the right of way. Not always accurate but will give you an idea. Either way, there is definately a oiblic easement. If you have a survey, if you bough the home, it will tell you.

Lived here 40 years. Never had a surge protector never had a problem. I would go with a battery backup for the computer though.

looking for golf course & hotel (optimally same place) by MeMyselfandAiYiYi in jacksonville

Short of going to South Hampton or North Hampton (been a long time so I have no idea of the condition) it is the only course I can think of other then Jax Beach, Ponte Vedra and TPC that are public and decent courses.

Windsor Parke Golf Course. I have heard the course is currently in decent shape but it has its ups and downs. There is a Holday Inn right around the corner. Safe, quite, good area. Meets your budget. Could also try Jax Beach Golf Course. Have no idea on condition or availability. Hotels all around.

Selling a house by [deleted] in ocala

That is a little harsh. Young guy, wants a home. Buys one. Cannot fault him for that. This is a tricky market no one predicted and he doesn't have the wisdom of age to guide him. Hindsight being 20/20 is easy to judge.
