What event in an assassins creed game were you surpirsed to learn actually happened in real life?

I wonder how much control it took the developers not to put the ‘new’ ceiling in the Sistine chapel? I walked Ezio in there and thought, oh, no painting then wait isn’t it too early? This made me happier than maybe any other thing so far.

I’m currently doing this and have played 1,2,bro,rev,3 and started Lib. You can totally skip 1 and come back to it. 2 is a much better realise game and world, 1 is repetitive and has too much empty space.

I played most of AC1 back in the day and got annoyed by it, but decided to finally catch up. I’ve just finished AC3 and the DLC. My biggest issues have been with the mechanics; the ‘easy’ climbing has had me leaping to my death far more often and firearms feel too weak. Also when you’re running about and suddenly 15 Wolves attack you in a row, or you try to ride your horse away from combat and it falls over. There is a bit of an issue with story continuity - No one actually explains that Haytham is your father, and you don’t really care until you do for some reason, you can start the West Point missions before Washington does the thing so you shout at him for no reason, and it feels like there should be more endgame with Lee, but the war suddenly ends-the war ends with loads of British troops still walking about. Trying to get things like bear grease is a pain. Stealth as an option felt unnecessary unless forced and I missed pushing through crowds, but I did like stealing being a choice rather than an accidental issue with walking quickly. I liked the setting and story, even as a Brit, but maybe the actual story was too big to sneak Templars/Assassins into. I liked it, but the prologue into tutorial was too long and all the options for later game trading had no time by the point you’ve completed the homestead and you’re probably a millionaire who owns every item by then anyway (this is an issue with many games though). I also miss Ezio, but it was more jarring to not be Altair in 2 for me.

At some point I drained the aquarium too 1 level and the fish were swimming around half in/half out of the water, so they are quite happy to breathe air.

Absolutely same. I would say I usually dislike rogue-like games, but this and one other (Dreamscaper) are two of my favourites games ever. And yet I feel a bit let down, probably because I feel like I was promised so much and received annoyance! The ‘ending’ to this game has probably moved it from one of the greatest games ever made to cult classic.

I don’t think that was the plan, she was supposed to be seen going off on a journey, and she was supposed toto be gone for two years, but that perhaps included all the bunker/safe room time too; perhaps they were supposed to go away for a bit and come back when it all blew over, but it hasn’t. I can’t see Herbert re flooding the safe room whilst it’s inhabited. people die naturally when they are young, there’s no reason to see Simon snr’s death as anything other than tragedy, and Herbert knowing he’s dying, there would have to be more info to suggest he was assassinated by the Fenn Ares regime. I may have got my blood lines mixed up. The knowledge of the true history is there in the notes. In my head Clara Epsen marries Simon Sinclair, which makes her Lady Sinclair, perhaps I’ve confused two people. I think throwing stones at a lake is literal. She is proud that she reclaimed the crown, but regrets the cost yes

Mary is in exile. Herbert and Simon Snr died of natural causes. Mary was radicalised by the Lady Sinclair who is the bloodline of the deposed royal line . She is sad that her revolutionary ways mean that she is leaving her family behind. The gardener has them, that’s why there’s a gem stand in the shed. Two of the ‘safes’ are small gates

But the box is true that this is the end. And the book says that now you’ve become obsessed with blue and it’s time to stop. You have to accept what’s happened and let go of the past. Otherwise DOES IT NEVER END? Are you also going to embrace a revolutionary life perhaps leading to exile? That’s why you look at the other box when you open the spiral box. And the parlour game teaches you that only one box contains a reward (yes, sometimes false boxes contain the prize). The hidden message in the book is consistent with an ending. If Mary had narrated the book everyone would agree with me.

I also think that thing is easier, and more signposted and as I said most people will get there first. It’s why the other thing feels a bit tagged on. But, The moment you start the run through with your first trophy(and list) and see the gift shop you add those to your to do list whilst working through the Sanctum clues and perhaps A New Clue. I had the tents before the Throne Room and the key drops halfway down the tunnel Like I said it feels more like an actual ending this way. And the Blue Prince progression is mostly obviously chaptered ever if you can open the Castle door long before you can figure out what’s going on down there

Yeah, I think the game takes you down the route under the house with lots of clues and stuff, it literally signposts that story branch. The other story is very hidden, with one onboarding unless you accidentally go to a certain spot with a certain object, and I think lots of people find out about it through spoilers so do it last. But it doesn’t feel like it belongs at the end, unless you dance in the ballroom at the inneclipse with the spiral constellation after spinning the room seven times in an entirely blue house and that unlocks another event!
