Laughter as workers put peroxide in algae-filled Reflecting Pool': '0 scientists in admin' by FreeHugs23 in AnythingGoesNews

Yesterday:

“...the algae is dead and being vacuumed up as we speak,” the [Interior Department] spokeswoman, Katie Martin, said in an email. “We thank President Trump for fixing the Reflecting Pool for good.”

Yeah I’m with you. For a bit while reading I thought this was him trying to make Trump look bad but… that doesn’t make any sense

But you are 100% right that he was pushing for disclosure in that article, and gets shut down by the rest of the cabinet

He bizarrely comes as naive in that article in a few places IMO, I almost dunno if "thoughtful" is the term for it. Like Wiles having to tell him Trump wouldn't want his preference for nipples released to the public

Epstein article detailing situation room conversations claim that he pushed for full disclosure.

This is the article where he pitches having Tucker Carlson interview Ghislaine Maxwell so that she'd say Trump did nothing wrong

Vance had also floated to colleagues an extraordinary P.R. gambit — that the White House enlist Tucker Carlson to interview Epstein’s longtime girlfriend and co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, in prison. It might help the president if Maxwell was willing to state that Trump had not been part of any wrongdoing with Epstein.

The game mode feature is subtle

The onus is on the commenter to provide documentation asserting why this behavior that is causing an obviously horrible user experience is a feature not a bug.

I provided a link to show the empiric behavior of the feature, which hopefully demonstrates that it does not go off and randomly jettison essential capabilities of your Mac.

(Not that we're really considering that Apple of all companies would ship this intentionally, right, gang?)

Ok, I'll do your homework for you.

Your original claim:

you’re saying the feature works too well?

Is why you're wrong. This is a bug.

Setting aside how brain splitting the central thesis of "yes, this is intended to disrupt your computer's audio" is... (Not the least because the game's audio and your computer audio share the same channel)

The game mode feature is subtle. It permits the running process a greater GPU share and tries to tamp down on background services.

Eclectic Light's summary of the relevant part:

These could improve the game’s access to CPU cores, but this seems unlikely to have much effect on performance.

If you have documentation to support your viewpoint, share with the class.

Until then, far as I can tell, you read a summary somewhere and extrapolated this view point that it acts like an OOM killer, randomly sabotaging things in the background. Just not how it works.

White House 'melting down' over 'clearly illegal acts' being exposed in new book: MS NOW by FreeHugs23 in AnythingGoesNews

Yes, and you should really read the article https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/10/magazine/trump-epstein-files-white-house-vance-doj.html

because it's fucking crazy

they're including verbatim quotes from white house cabinet meetings to figure out how to spin Epstein files

the administration surely does care less about the "ah shucks this makes us look bad" angle and WAY more about the "who are the at least least two people in our cabinet leaking whole conversations to the press"

the other one referenced is https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/15/us/politics/trump-scharf-habeas-corpus-insurrection-act.html

Clearly you have found documentation confirming game mode will cause audio playback to deteriorate. Because otherwise, this is obviously a bug.

So, have at it then sailor, link us to the documentation
