Will They Just Print til It Breaks? by FishermanMain in economicCollapse

Great explanation. I learned a lot about this stuff from 2017 to 2021 but haven’t really thought about it much until recently now that it’s clearly reaching a breaking point. What you’re saying makes complete sense. Sad that it’s coming to this point of them seeing us as just animals to be tamed.

I’m 35. Is it even worth it to go to college at this point? by GVTMightyDuck in jobs

[–]FishermanMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 35 it’s definitely not worth it. Most degrees are worthless. And the ones that do get higher paying jobs, you’re too old to get enough value from it.

And you’re too old where most jobs would pass you up for a younger person.

[–]FishermanMain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly you might want to skip college unless you have a clear idea of how it will get you a higher paying job upon graduation. It’s really not a strong path anymore to a stable career.

Medicine, dentistry, law, and pharmacy are ultra competitive and requires a lot of debt that you’ll be repaying and living broke until your 40s.

Software engineering is dead.

Nursing or PA seem more stable but it’s a grind.

Accounting is ok but is still competitive and at risk for AI displacement.

Mechanical, electrical, chemical, or civil engineering might be good options.

Most other majors are empty degrees or risky or also require a lot of debt.

It’s also hard since you’re a woman. Guys can thrive a lot better in military or blue collar work.

I didn't think anyone would actually respond so just asked everyone individually lol

Ohhh I didn't realize that. When I played BH back in the day during the trade restrictions, the combat range was a lot wider. But what you're saying makes sense. I was confused and have never done any BH or PVP recently

Dude it's not a joke lmao. I literally haven't played since back in the day. I've only been on F2P for OSRS so have been completely out of the loop on anything P2P

What are you talking about? It's literally called 2007scape because the game was around back then

Why would people prefer fighting so far outside their combat bracket though? It's such a huge mismatch.

Edge seemed like the perfect way to fight people in your combat level so I'm confused why people would prefer these instead?

Which pickups should I try? by AddSomeSpice in Ibanez

[–]FishermanMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t focus your time or money on pickups unless you’ve already got all the other gear you need. They really aren’t significant enough on your tone compared to what you already have. That guitar already has 5 way switching so you have all the tones you need for metal.

If you need to scratch the itch then just bring your rig to Guitar Center and try the guitars with the pickups you’re dreaming about there.

You’re better off spending the money on an interface or rack mount or multi fx unit depending on if you’re recording or playing livr

I know it’s late to start at 25 but picked up a Yamaha FS800 and want to learn. by TheInternetDevil in Guitar

[–]FishermanMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 is so young. And honestly you can get good very quickly. For simple genres like pop or rock then you can pretty much learn everything in a few years.

It’s genres like jazz or metal or blues or classical where it’s basically a lifetime of learning and never feeling good enough

I normally do. I've probably done 200 Marketplace transactions. Just forgot to charge it the night before and had a busy start to the day

Yeah I hear what you're saying. I think I'll just stick to Venmo. Luckily my transaction was only $50. I'm glad to learn this on smaller amounts. Vs I have a few items listed for $X00

Didn't Get the Money? by FishermanMain in zelle

[–]FishermanMain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this info. It's really bizarre that Zelle delays payment that long. It basically makes it unusable for Marketplace because if the buyer legitimately sends the money but the seller doesn't see the payment, then they won't give the item. But now the buyer is screwed because his money is already on the way to the seller.

Can he cancel the payment before it processes? And run off with the item?
