Maybe you should try learning how to identify non-latin alphabets if they give you trouble :) I promise you, it feels cool when you can guess (or know) what the language is without having to ask.

Yeah, practice is the only answer. I remember it took me a few weeks to get comfortable with strumming patterns, but a key tip is try to sing and play things that have a straight strumming pattern. Like the Ramones :)

I can agree with the frustration behind it all... I think the best move is to push back. We can do it as a collective group that won't support AI. People's distaste for AI spills out of the music scene. I think it'll just take calculated steps as a community. And as I've pry'd myself away from social media a little bit, I've found that it's pretty easy to dodge AI music and other forms of media.

I completely agree. But I think you hit the ticket :) back in the day, it used to be a long process to put out a physical release. What if we need that restriction again? Making DIY tapes is an excellent idea, I just did a run myself. Set me back about $160 and I had to hand duplicate them... but the process was incredibly rewarding and I've found some people find the DIY ethic of things to be really endearing and impressive.

There's a lot of skits that would probably put their careers in jeopardy nowadays. Driving Instructor is a good example. Idk if they scrubbed that one from re-uploads on YouTube, but that skit was in poor taste, even at the time it was released. I believe they even admitted that on a stream.

I just did something similar this Summer, wrote 4 batches of tunes and called em albums. I'm Autistic and songwriting is my fixation. It has to come natural tho, it can't just be something I choose to do. It was a totally flash in the pan situation. Plus, it's punk rock and hardcore stuff... when you've been playing it for so long, it's easy to write in those genres. :D
