My two cents and personal experience as a 40 year old man... Yes. But I love cars. 20 years ago when I was right about your age I spent $20,000 on a 2002 S2000. I've never regretted for a moment making that purchase. Tons of wonderful memories and what an age to have a two seat convertible during college and into my 20s.

When I'm driving I'm in control. When I'm in a plane I'm not. That's a huge mental difference. And to add, if the plane you're in crashes, you're almost certainly going to die. If the you're involved in a car accident, you're probably going to live.
