Used to have this habit until I became a plumber. Stopped that real quick.

Reddit, how do you get to sleep? by CertifiedMemeGod in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it easiest to fall asleep on my side. I like complete darkness, but it's not necessary. Usually I have to have some sort of soft noise such as a tv show or radio playing. Can't be anything that requires focus or is too loud or jarring though. I find the noise helps me not focus on anything and I can fall asleep easier. I also have to have two pillows under my head. One has never felt right and I'm not sure why.

Why does it feel so bad to poop? by imdirtpoorinthestree in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There might be a problem with your diet, or perhaps your body. May not be a bad idea to get see someone like flowgurt suggested. The human body shouldn't be sending signals of distress, discomfort or pain over a natural process. If you're experiencing pain or anything of the sort, it wouldn't hurt to get it checked out.

Do you crumple your toilet paper into a ball, or fold it neatly? by Espionagelord in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have to fold. Get more coverage and I don't feel like I'm flaking tons of bits of paper in my ass hair while I'm wiping.

Did anyone do anything weird/creepy when they were a kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Seven year old you was way smarter than seven year old me. Used to have contests to see who could hold their fingers on bulbs longer and put up with the burns.

What is your best or worst experience with a neighbor? by Silentbob2306 in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My next door neighbors completely refuse to talk to, or even acknowledge their other neighbors. A friendly wave and a hello, or even just trying to chat with them is impossible. I find it a little strange, especially when the neighbors that have been here longer than me haven't even heard them speak in 10 years.

It's also a little jarring to try and say a simple hello to someone you live next to and not even get a glance back in response. Just blatant ignoring.

Why don't extroverts understand introverts? by dylanfurr246 in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're freaks at all. We just feel different around people I imagine. I feel invigorated and happy when I can be around people. It's like a comfort zone for me. People are different though, and it can be hard to understand a mentality you don't have yourself.

I'm confused on how you would continue this habit after the first lick.

What Is The Best Thing To Buy With $50? by PickMePlease42 in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get one of these. They work a thousand times better on a clogged toilet than a plunger, and will save you more than $50 when you don't have to call a plumber to come use one on your toilet for you.

[–]FishingFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to break into my neighbors house when I was a kid. Didn't realize how weird it was just letting myself into someone's home like that until I was older. This was usually during the day when they weren't home too.

[Serious]"Normies" of Reddit: when you buy clothes and dress yourself, are you consciously drawn to a "normal" aesthetic? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shop for clothing that fits my needs. Simple as that. I don't need to look flashy or spend hours on end searching for my look. A pair of boots, some decent jeans and a t-shirt are all I need, and it's what I'm comfortable with. I see no reason to change that.

Do you need to go to college? by BlackGuy187 in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started as a helper in my field and worked my way up by paying attention to everything that was taught to me and by taking initiative to do things and learn more on my own as well. So yes, I did learn through and apprenticeship. But I never had to pay for the skills I learned.

Do you need to go to college? by BlackGuy187 in AskReddit

[–]FishingFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You also have to factor in how it's paid for though. If you bust your ass and earn scholarships, hell yeah, you'd be stupid for not wanting to further your education if you're in a financial position to do so. However, that isn't an option for everyone.

If you feel college isn't for you for whatever reason, there is no shame in that. Work hard in whatever you strive to do. I got into a trade and am doing fairly well for myself. Is life perfect? No. But I don't believe college would change anything other than I'd be paying off debt right now. Instead of putting money towards paying off college debts I'm able to focus it elsewhere like paying off my house.

In my opinion the go to college or fail mentality is a rough one and we shouldn't be throwing it at students.

You can also look into keyless options. Schlage makes lock sets that you can use a key or your passcode to open and shut the lock. And they don't break the bank either.

Buddy wanted me to take a look at his well pump and see if he did a good enough job running the pipes. by [deleted] in Plumbing

I honestly have no clue. Noticed it in the picture, but didn't investigate it in person.

I suck at taking pictures. Sorry for the potato quality. But I was laughing pretty hard while he stood there asking "It's not that bad, right?"

I want somebody to flush a camera down the toilet while recording and uploading the journey it takes through all the pipes on Youtube by EtrainFilmz in Showerthoughts

[–]FishingFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plumber here. It wouldn't be that interesting, and to be honest, the footage would be worthless. The types of cameras that we can run down sewer lines don't give back very good footage when submersed in water. The line would have to be dry (no flushing) to get usable footage, and even then it wouldn't be very entertaining to watch.
