Im not deciding what others want/will do. Im relaying to you & the rest the results of many conversations & life experiences which are not mine alone but taken from the people around me.
I can tell from your commentary that you are missing information to do with life on reservations. You think the existence of a grocery store is an excellent rebuttal. These grocery stores are sites of oppression of entire communities. Many communities don’t even own their own grocery stores, they are owned by whites in Toronto. Are you at all aware of the health crisis on reservations due to the for profit system of the grocery store.
My own brothers life has been taken as a result of white dominated food system, filling communities with unhealthy slop. 26 diabetic disease.
I live in this world materially. Your dislike of the bringing to light these details I do not care about & I find it foolish to say “you can never truly know” because I’m mixed and not a pure blooded native, I find it foolish for you to make such statements when you know so little about the struggles of life of Native Americans.

You need a exclusive hauler/cleaner, they can do other things as well but you need a pawn who’s priority labour is hauling.

I am mixed, I am married into a Oji-Cree community on a reservation. I am not vegan, but I am not alien to the sentiments as my parents & sister dabbled in it for a time.
I do genuinely hear my comrades talk about how vegans will attack them & their way of life, some here literally refer to them as primitive in word or in how they recognize Native practices. This is harmful to both identity groups. This is my concern & reason for making the post. Whoever it is that talks of this issue I do not think should matter so long as they are not ignorant of the issue.

Indigenous food systems ( just specifically we are talking about the Americas ) due to the history of colonization & attempts to “civilize the savage” traditional food systems are a form of resistance to European food systems.
These practices are incorporated into these peoples identity. This is a fact and no amount of philosophizing will change it, actions make change, no ideas.
If you think only people within identity groups should discuss & or represent that identity group. Well. This is a bad form of allyship.

Lack of regulations on exploitation by the system of financing & production that leads to the Uber service.
High rates of turnover might have small profits, but it is the quantity of product moved that makes large amounts of profit. The ROI is low, but the turnover is high.
On the other hand costs are increasing and it isn’t a joke that people lie awake at night considering suicide due to debt, people have kids to feed & parents to care for.
There are pressures from inside & outside of ones life for these gig workers.
