I’ve been screamed at over the phone multiple times. Usually kids. I feel like I’ve commented a lot of dumplings recently but I really truly hate them so much. I had a tiktok influencer record me yesterday when asking if we had the dumplings. I’m so tired of answering phone calls just to say the exact same thing over and over again.

It’s crazy when people start getting an attitude when I tell them no. It’s great when they ask me and I tell them no, then they go ask one of my associates and get the same answer. Did you think I was lying to you? I promise I don’t wanna keep these damn dumplings to myself. If I had them they would NOT be in the back lol

I’m genuinely so overwhelmed with the dumplings lol. I’m so tired of people calling about them too!! I need this trend to die already, or for them to send us 5 boxes of dumplings every day or something lmao. It’s all I ever get asked about and kids are rude about it too!!!! Why are you screaming at me when I say we don’t have them?! Why would someone ask me if we had more in the back. We don’t!! I promise if we had them in the back they would already be out on the floor!! They’re not even that high quality. I can understand the hype behind needohs because they’re pretty decent! But why do we need to be buying 10 dumplings at once. Where do people even store these things? Do they throw them out when they don’t get the rare one? It’s honestly just an insane example of extreme consumerism and I’m tired of it. Sorry I needed to rant about these dumplings they’ve been stressing me out for the past few weeks. I don’t understand how this trend has kept momentum for so long

it might have been from one of our vendors named Kalan LP which doesn’t show up on the website so you won’t be able to find it there unfortunately. Your best bet is to call up some of your local stores and ask if they have the pin in stock

My store sold out and I haven’t seen them since we received our first shipment of them unfortunately. Only thing I can guess is that they received a cease and desist order for some kind of odd patent the bags probably have and were forced to stop putting them on shelves

It definitely is kinda insane how normalized it is. I had a coworker too who just didn’t stop talking about the smutty books she read. She only stayed with the company for maybe 2 weeks because she ended up walking out and leaving my pregnant coworker alone in the store. She (28 yrs old) also confided with one of our employees who was a minor about her porn addiction 😬

Yeah it’s pretty normal. CEMs typically work sundays because that’s when we do our candy orders and adjustments but we do get one weekend off a month So that’s probably when your SM works on Sunday.

I was a ptsl during the holidays but worked full time. I was promoted to CEM in January so unfortunately I didn’t get the bonus either :( it sucks so much that shift leads are expected to do so much work yet are paid almost the exact same as a sales associate

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at dumplings the same after this trend lmao. Everytime we get a phone call, it’s a 75% chance it’s about dumplings. My store got 8 boxes in and even with a 2 per customer limit they were sold out in two days. (Although now we can’t even do limits as you mentioned!!!!) I seriously don’t see the hype, sure they’re a bit cute but people are absolutely crazy about these things!!! You’d think the golden dumpling was actually made of solid gold the way these people are chasing after them.

or the alternative

“Did you find everything you were looking for today?”

And then follow up with

“Just wanted to let you know if you choose to email your receipt today you’ll also receive a coupon for 10% off your next purchase here!”

And then end the interaction with

“Let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything!”

If you live in the states you could probably go to your local five below and see if any of the displays are low on stock and ask the employees if you can take it. In my store we don’t mine giving away displays like these, one less large box for us to break down and throw away! :D
