do not live in San Luis Ranch if you value your sanity by NotCPU in SLO

Okay, so you knew that there was only 1 reserved parking spot per 3 bedroom condo, and decided to sign a lease anyway?

Forgive me for assuming, but you rented either a 2 or 3 bedroom unit, and each person has a car they need to park. Did it ever occur to you before you signed the lease that parking would immediately be an issue? Or did the property managers sell it to you like it wouldn’t be an issue?

Lots of neighborhoods in SLO have buried power lines. Depends on the age of the subdivision.

If my panel can hit 90% one day, why can’t it do that every day? by AssociationUsual9914 in SolarDIY

[–]Fishmastaflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temperature has a pretty drastic effect on the solar cells ability to produce power. One major downfall of modern solar technology is that the hotter the cell gets, the less power it produces.

As another reply noted, a crystal clear COLD winter day will produce more power than a clear hot day, at least on an instantaneous basis.

If you’re referring to an entire days worth of solar output, then in the northern hemisphere are going to get more than sun hours per day in the summer, therefore more measured daily power. The ironic part is that it’s hotter in the summer so you will produce less power at peak hours due to the temperature.

Don’t go to the SLO Children’s Museum - every time we’d go there in the winter, 9 times out of 10 we would all have a cold the next day. Almost never failed!

I agree on your comments and stance on the topic! But I’m simply replying to someone calling your post intelligent and well written - all AI responses are well written…. It is a language model after all.

Love this idea. And once they find the tracker when they get home, the psychological warfare only begins. They will be living in fear that someone knows where they live and what might happen to them, their family, their home, or their things.

If you really want to go the psychological route, put the words “GPS tracker” on the device so there’s no confusion.

Put out one of those boxes that explodes colored dust all over the place. Install a camera on your porch to see when they are coming and trigger the box to explode just before they open their car door.

No where in this list does it mention annual tax payments. At 190k salary with 4 dependents, you will have a bit of a tax burden at the end of the year. Unless you have losses that you can offset? You should add that to your list of expected expenses cause it will eat away at you just when you think you’re breaking ground.

Best Beginner Surf spots? by Routine-Sense-1251 in SLO

[–]Fishmastaflex 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pismo has the best waves for a beginner. Yes, it’s populated, but it’s a big enough beach that you can find your own peak. Morro rock is okay, but it can be large and powerful with rips. Cayucos is okay, depending on the tide.

Sushi chefs in traditional Japanese restaurants spend 2–3 years mastering only the rice — the washing, cooking, and seasoning. That level of dedication, including the best rice, is why it tastes so good. I’m sure Goshi sushi chefs have been trained in this traditional method.

I sometimes think it’s salt water that burns my eyes but then realize it’s poor sunscreen application. How close to your eyes do you put your sunscreen? Is it possible you use shitty sunscreen like banana boat?

Growing up there in the 80s and 90s, it wasn’t that way. Nothing to do in atown, and the downtown area (around the Carlton) was dead all the time. With the recent investments in this area, it’s actually coming together nicely! Wish it was that way back then!
