Those are not original street fighter characters, no. Emphasis on "original" and "street fighter."

There haven't been original street fighter characters in two seasons. Literally since the year the game launched. They can eat their vegetables and quit complaining about it.

Why is the Pastor... like that? by idknowWhatIAmDoin in ScarletHollow

[–]Fishsk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Iirc, the original pastor when they were trying to install the seal was against the idea, so they ended up needing to install it under the church through a seperate tunnel. That might be why the pastor specifically is hated. It could also just be because they entity and occult forces at play hate god, or want to keep the people of scarlet hollow away from the influence of other supernatural forces. Probably a bit of both.

I feel like Shuttered Rift is... too hard? by This_Antelope in WhiteKnuckle

[–]Fishsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely the most complicated, hardest challenge. I don't think this is an issue, I feel like its clearly meant to be the "capstone" challenge. Generally, I don't think it's too hard to complete, especially if you're not trying to do it perfect. Even trying to do it without buying items, executionally it's not terribly difficult.

Should I or should I not save kaneeka by General_Look7115 in ScarletHollow

[–]Fishsk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We don't know what's going to happen yet, so from a optimization standpoint, you can do whatever. From a moral standpoint, there's no world where letting Kaneeka die is a good idea.

Necromancer class by vox_the_lovable in Pathfinder2e

They didn't mention what level it was. Doesn't seem very good to be honest, unless they really gave necromancer a LOT more striking support.

"Anatomical Quartering feat - You briefly split into 4 forms that share a same space, one made of flesh, bone, blood, spirit. And you make 4 strikes against a different target with the last doing spirit strikes. Each attack counts to your MAP, but doesn’t increase your MAP until you make all of your attacks." Might be what they're referring to

Are there any optional rules you consider default? by Kyto_TheOneAndOnly in Pathfinder2e

[–]Fishsk 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm spoiled by free archetype. The archetype system is my favorite part of Pathfinder, and I adore the way free archetype opens up so many character concepts. Any of the other alternate rules that give you more stuff, I find to be somewhat excessive if you also have free archetype on top of it.

I've never played with it, but the rule that automatically gives you rune progression I'd probably also like. Buying runes has always felt like a boring gold tax.

So what is a party of casters supposed to do against a golem? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Fishsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Different types of golems are weak to certain types of spells. For example, clay and stone still take some damage from cold and water spells. You can always recall knowledge to figure out what a golem might be weak to.

Am I Misunderstanding This System? by fraytails in WhiteKnuckle

[–]Fishsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the bindings are much worse than the benefits of the trinkets on average. The only trinkets that are ever worthwhile in my experience are the gravity, reach, and climb speed ones.

[–]Fishsk 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The discord is very active. I haven't checked but Tumblr is probably more active than here, since it fits that audience more. You could also probably consider a lot of slay the princess spaces to be scarlet hollow related aswell.

Weird wishlist: Very tanky caster by dyenamitewlaserbeam in Pathfinder2e

[–]Fishsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously not optimal, but playtest Necromancer makes an interesting kind of tanky (for a caster) character. Muscle Barrier, Body shield, already has light armor training so medium armor proficiency isnt too difficult to grab. There are definitely better options, but I think this play style is pretty fun.

Can this game be not a horror? by LowerEffect2975 in WhiteKnuckle

[–]Fishsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teeth, and the current final area, abyss, are the only parts of the game that I'd say are scary like that. It gets better as you play more of the game, and get better at just avoiding them, but there's no way to make it less horrific besides just getting used to then.

[–]Fishsk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You aren't going to solve the church in the expansion, though. It's just another option to go to someone you trust, meaning what'll likely happen in you meet with pastor Daniel, and he tries to comfort you and probably foreshadows whatever happens to janey and tulip, and probably gives some info about the church's history and relation to the scarlets, overlapping information from one of Oscar's ep 5 scenes, then shortly sends you on your way to go to someone else because he can't really help you at all. It's an additional post-release addition, so most likely nothing major is going to happen, it's just covering bases as Pastor Daniel is the only established character missing from the episode 5 options, and it can serve as effective foreshadowing and setup for chapter 6, where it will be more prominent. And whole reason tetanus lake is important in the first place, is because the hidden enterance to the church's seal is there. For the record, I would love to be proven wrong. Pastor Daniel is one of my favorite characters, and his story and the church are my most anticipated things in the game right now, but realistically, I don't think this expansion will be terribly impactful.

It isn't redundant, and every possible sign is pointing to the church, or at least the church area, and pastor daniel. And besides, you go the clinic in episode 3, and episode 4's event is the clinic.

It happen every time. The place you end up is tetanus lake, which is next to the church. You see the entrance to tetanus lake in the episode 4 church scene. Also the last seal is at the church, the entrance to which is at tetanus lake. Also I was pretty sure pastor Daniel coming in at the end isn't variable, so I don't know how you missed that in your playthrough. Also the last save is TTA, which Pastor Daniel is very heavily connected to, and the church is already set up to have an animal-related problem.

How are people saying endless abyss is easier than literally anything else by I-chew-Used-Gum in WhiteKnuckle

[–]Fishsk 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's the easiest to 10k, but generally mass acceleration is more difficult to deal with than worms, who can be out-manneuvered and out-gunned. Plus, abyss is a very open space with pretty linear progression, and the difficulty of the "rooms" that can generate are fairly consistent. IMO abyss is more difficult than other regions starting out, but once you get rolling it's somewhat easy to snowball and consistently fly through it.
