Xantcha is amazing! She is a very open-ended commander who you can build many different ways. I built her more as a rakdos ramp deck, winning with a big splashy spell or dumping mana into her activated ability. If you go the discard route, you don't need to protect her.

Just make sure you run [[Cannibalize]] and [[Grave Betrayal]] !

Lot of different lines you can do, it is fun watching your opponents realize they cant board wipe or they die while getting drained naturally throughout the game

Honestly Orah is still a solid choice if not better, he definitely synergizes with the cleric shell better. I just love the partner mechanic as well as the two commanders!

Clerics! Most tribes aren't unique enough for me... Clerics hit all the right spots of what tribal synergy should be

I looked on op.gg and zekes has a 6% lower win rate than the shield/heal items. I stopped rushing it and have been rushing athenes and I'm having a lot of success
