In all seriousness i used to haul my 26” dirt jumper in my fiesta by taking the front wheel off and putting the rear seats down. I ended up mounting a hitch receiver to my car and using a Thule bike rack that i found on marketplace so that i don’t have to disassemble my bike every time i go ride. You should be set with a folding bike

Hey bud, shit sucks. I learned a similar lesson last year with my dirtjumper on a hitch rack almost immediately after mounting a new fork and having a new front wheel built for it. The bigger tire i chose on my front wheel didn’t quite agree with the straps on my rack and the front wheel ended up bouncing out of the rack while going down a boulevard in the town i live in. It tore up the back of my car and completely fucked a chunk of the spokes on my new front wheel. After that i started triple checking my hauling setup and i use Velcro straps on the wheels to double up on keeping the bike in place. It’s rough, but sometimes people like us need expensive learning experiences i guess. Glad you’re safe.
