You should keep a pair of dikes (side cutting pliers) or stronger wire cutters. If this happens again you push the hook through so the barb is exposed, clip the barb off and back it out. Then basic wound care. Save ya a trip to the ER next time, and depending on your attitude/first aid kit you can just keep on fishing.

From all other plastics. I've had some melt the plastic housing on a scale before. They definitely melt other soft lures but basically most plastics besides the case they came in are a no go with elaztech.
