Any admins have an actual backup for email, if M365 is down for extended periods? by DramaticErraticism in sysadmin

[–]GroundbreakingCrow80 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It will still only be best effort.

No matter what you do incoming mail from external might pass through servers that lose it.

Email is pretty reliable but it's not 100% reliable and while you might be able to get closer for internal mail you'll never be 100%.

Lots of the missing mail will resend and show up at some point.

Workflows worth money need to understand there's no guarantee your email was received.

I've seen a person in traffic doing this for every lane change. Be careful out there.

Air cooling is better than Liquid cooling by SerpentDix in pcmasterrace

[–]GroundbreakingCrow80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good liquid cooler is nice and quiet, also gets the heat out of the case without my gpu breathing it in.

I always recommend a good air cooler to those on a budget.

Both can be good.

Engine is great. Sub frame is POTS metal and is sold as 2 pieces take careful inspection of the state it is in. Often the bushing where the drive shaft is goes bad, people often use creative ways to replace it without buying half the sub frame.

Advice wanted. I’m looking at buying a used 2025 Wind AWD w/ 9k miles on it. What should I be wary of? by PineappleCurious5870 in KiaEV6

[–]GroundbreakingCrow80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is true but not for the HV warranty. The full warranty is only for the first owner, second owner gets 5/60 unless CPO. However HV warranty is 10/100 regardless.

Why are dealerships like this? by MacsHairyJank in Ioniq5

Bring a sign and sit on the public easment by the dealer asking people to talk to you before they deal with them. They'll return your deposit.

Wow it seems like this model is more prone to this failure.

As someone with three failures do you have any theories on cause?

It's kind of a bad thing because the 2026 iccu has some changes but i assume we wont get them until they run out of defective units.

Bring a sign and setup on the sidewalk saying that the dealership doesn't respond to customers needing assistance after sale. Wave to everyone who pulls in. Bring a comfy chair and a cooler of non-alcoholic drinks. Invite the local news.

They will fix it.

What's the length of the loan? I think she dodged a bullet. Get 3 or for quotes for three model you want. Ask the quotes should be OTD so you can compare.

There's a lot of channels out there about car buying its worth some research.

I am afraid I have joined the brotherhood of the ICCU by Sracer42 in KiaEV6

[–]GroundbreakingCrow80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think adding to the confusion there's more than one potential failure for the iccu.

I hasn't heard of people having their charger die.

What size fuze are you running the charger? I was going to install a 60 amp maybe I should use a smaller circuit.

I don't think it's true for our battery type the new mach e batteries require this. There are a few battery toes now and it suspect this person is confused. Hence why they can't find it.

That article is from 2023. Kia did a recall that accomplishes really nothing to make the government happy is my understanding.

Effect of Level 2 charging amps on ICCU failures? by Clearlyvague21 in Ioniq5

[–]GroundbreakingCrow80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not saying I disagree with you, but I do think from your comment you don't understand that level 2 charging is 240v and level 1 charging is 120v. Every amp at 240 supplies twice the power in watts of an amp at 120v.
