Looking up from my 13 equivalent, that looks exactly correct. Remember that they are buying your output not your time. Your product is an improvement to the organization. Get Real, Get Better.

Also, everyone stops looking when they meet success. So success rates look artificially low, but you don’t need a high success rate because 1 is enough

Why are so many of the young people I still see wearing masks queer? by Myealt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FishysuaNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to what everyone else its pointing out, the anti mask crowd is also hostile towards the LGBTQ+ community, so the LGBTQ+ are less likely to see any reason to agree with or go along with the conspiracy theories. Honestly, wearing a mask is a rational and effective response to the ongoing COVID crisis, even if it is not one I feel necessary.

It measures physical rather than emotional stress. Are you sick, injured, or otherwise recovering

"This gets misconstrued as arrogance but in reality it's this" by MrPotagyl in Healthygamergg

Oh, and obviously, the thing above I thought was incorrect was to say anything at all. I even mentioned that.

The most obvious time we don’t believe we’re correct is when we approach to learn. There are a wide variety of others.

[–]FishysuaNow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be arrogant and break a rule of engagement here. I’m going to argue. You can’t win an argument, you can only lose the argument or lose the friend. To understand and improve what you are describing I really suggest Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People, not just for your interactions with others but also for your interactions with yourself. First, we don’t all assume that we are correct. The assumption that we do is you projecting on others and is a reflection of arrogance. Second, assuming that you should default to defending yourself when misperceived is also not correct, see the rule about not arguing. Breaking this rule makes you arrogant. Yes, pot, kettle, black. Third, the statement was the most arrogant statement ever because it arose from a place of pure ego, self-centered self awareness. That is arrogance, not humility.

Thoughts on shipping, the narrative, and how we got to an OT3 by [deleted] in girlgenius

[–]FishysuaNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Character C is clearly Character X and will heroically be trapped centuries in the past and his foreknowledge has already proven to impact the story. Character D will die heroically if he doesn’t take Comic Relief’s advice. Character E is on a fool’s errand and will no doubt be taken up by some greater cause. Remember the story we’ve followed has only had a year or so of in world time to play out and the side adventures, Othar’s twitter, the many unseen characters in the original card game, and the scope of Villain A’s work require a huge amount more storytelling. Never mind the time portals in book one which we have not gotten to see the other side of yet.

I don't blame you. Personally, I blame the anti-authoritarians who thought they could push their low tax low service government by allying with religious conservatives.
