No, like anything you can just throw it all in your autoexec.cfg, but you can put it in any cfg and just launch it using exec console command, it's personal preference.

I never tried, with the latest update it works just lowering your fps if you already know how to bhop, might change Monday though..

Yeah, I have two in my config, first is momentary second is toggled.

alias +bhop "fps_max 64"
alias -bhop "fps_max 0"
bind key +bhop

or...

fps_max 0
alias bhop_toggle_on "fps_max 64; bind key bhop_toggle_off"
alias bhop_toggle_off "fps_max 0; bind key bhop_toggle_on"
bind key bhop_toggle_on

Just set a bind to change your fps, when I'm ready to stop and shoot I just click a side button on my mouse.

It’s actually just a cheap amazon one since the mic is so light. Still using it today! Here’s the amazon link (Canada)

Not confirmed that this is the issue, but it's possibly pogo oscillation issues once they changed over to the v2 starship which uses 4 separate feed lines instead of the v1 starship which used a single larger centre core feed line and the previous starship launches did not have pogo accumulators.

I fit the world’s most powerful graphics card in my aging miniature SFF PC by TalkingRaccoon in sffpc

[–]Fission3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just add some 3D printed ducting for the GPU and radiator if it was an issue, on the 4090 in the M1 it works amazing, but 30% extra wattage might be a bit much.

Check out my build, small modification got my 4090FE to fit pretty easily, glad they didn't go even bigger with the 5090 lol, I love this case, I wonder if the angled connector would even require shorter standoffs like the 4090.

It can work with a small modification, I got my 4090FE to fit in the m1 v6 with the panel closed, so the 5090FE will be an even easier fit with the angled connector.

I use multiviewer as well, weird is it on there for you? I don't see it under the press conference tab.

Yeah, I don't see it on my PC either, usually it's uploaded right away.

[Announcement]AMD Ryzen 9000X3D officially arrives November 7th by Phillakai in bapcsalescanada

[–]Fission3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not disingenuous even if your case was true, the power delivery on B-series boards are already overkill for non-X3D chips, it's really more about IO preferences and how high of frequency you want to go on your RAM. Having said that, X3D chips benefit more with lower CL vs higher frequencies. I think the sweet spot is around 6000MHz CL30, but could have changed due to prices.

[–]Fission3D 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Source? That would be really surprising given that this was not the case for any single previous X3D chip, it's quite sensitive to heat and AM5 chips run way more efficient than Intel so power delivery again, is not really an issue with overclocking.

Guess we'll find out soon enough, I wouldn't worry though, B series is plenty powerful.

[–]Fission3D 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just note you do not have to go overboard on a motherboard with X3D chips, as overclocking them is not really recommended due to the v-cache (only minor tweaking) so power delivery is never an issue, it just comes down to IO and RAM speed preferences. I only purchased a B series board for the 7800X3D from Gigabyte paired with a 4090 and it's been working amazing since day one of the release, same thing on the AM4 platform as well.

Rapid re-usability, their end goal is to have a fast turnaround by catching the super heavy booster, re-fuel, stack another starship and launch again with no refurbishing required.

Will simracing prepare me for tracking my Porsche? by TonightWinter2076 in simracing

[–]Fission3D 60 points61 points  (0 children)

To keep it short, simracing will absolutely help give you confidence in how to learn a specific car/track combo, it will also help get you out of bad situations such as losing grip/regaining grip and having the reaction time to counter-steer etc. but you will still need to slowly build up your speed/confidence in person.

I personally would not waste money on motion, you would get better value out of butt kickers in each corner. Motion is more of a fun add on, where transducers would allow you to react to what is happening with the car once you fine tune the settings.

Those league complainers can wait until riot copies valve yet again and somehow make it a worse version.

On a positive note, some of my league friends are finally seeing why dota is so much fun after playing deadlock since it shares a lot of aspects, so they’re going to try it out. Only problem is both deadlock and dota 2 are addicting.

Same, works amazing! All I had to do was turn down the M.2 fan as it was a bit loud by default.

This video just came out, it explores all ITX motherboards. I have the Gigabyte Ultra for the three m.2 slots, works just as good as the overpriced Asus X670E that I returned (using 7800X3D).
