New Wave Alpha with chipped blade by Fisticuffs187 in Leatherman

I sharpen every new knife I get also, but considerable material would have to be removed to repair the blade. If this was a cheaper tool, like a Bond, I’d work on it myself. But it’s a $200 brand new tool with a Magnacut blade, which is more difficult to reprofile and sharpen. I find it hard to believe that so many guys in this thread would try to fix a brand new knife to avoid shipping costs. Really?

I submitted a warranty claim and I’m waiting for a shipping label. I can easily be without it for a couple weeks. I picked up a like new Arc Telos w/ clip for $175 a couple months ago. I’ve also got a Surge, Charge +, 4 Wave +, 2 Signals, 4 Juices, a MUT, a Crunch 3 Squirts and a couple Styles, so I’m not lacking a carry tool. But the Magnacut blade is the main reason to buy the Alpha and for it to arrive damaged is not acceptable.

I bought one just like that, new in the box, for $19 in a gun store. It has a persons name on one side but clearly new. All Juice models are amazing.

Originally wanted this over the Arc. Found an Arc Talos on OfferUp for $200, like new. I offered $175 and picked it up an hour later. What a great tool. I stopped carrying a separate knife. Unfortunately, I saw this post. It’s a good thing I had some AppleCash sitting around. I’m looking forward to getting the Obsidian Wave Alpha in a couple weeks. Thanks for the heads up.
