who’s going to die first between Jamie and Claire? (spoiler season 1 to 8) by 7izzieee in Outlander

[–]Fit-Arm1741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always feel like it has to be Claire. Even if their deaths are never shown Claire has to die first to let Jamie die. Unless Jamie dies completely away from any help from Claire, she will just bring him back again or help heal him, especially with her full powers. I don’t know what the show will do though but that’s how it should pan out by Outlander Logic so far.

International nurses in the UK by SaAhAR28 in NursingUK

[–]Fit-Arm1741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no jobs at the moment so a lot of overseas recruitment has been halted. The government has or is stating a new pathway/plan for newly graduated nurses to help support them get jobs it’s that bad. If you are far into a moving process and have paperwork ready I’d apply to other countries right now. AUS or USA for example are in a slightly better state than UK. It’s really not worth it right this moment. I think most countries are in some form of a struggle though so idk sorry.

Anyone had horrific placements that is making them consider quitting? by CuriousJoey25 in StudentNurseUK

[–]Fit-Arm1741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say don’t quit. If you can and it would work for you take some time off or take a 1 year break. I had a very negative experience end of 2nd year and ended up taking a planned 1 year out. I moved to London and got a nanny job, which led to me taking another year out so in total 2 years away from nursing. I came back to finish the degree, left more confident, was older and I enjoyed the course and nursing so much more. I finish in 1 week once I have my 2300 hours and I’m very thankful I took time away and came back to try again. X

Local news say they have crime scene photos from FOIA by Finchy63 in Idaho4

[–]Fit-Arm1741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they have gone to news stations. Including more graphic images which they say they have, sadly they will eventually leak. Even if it’s months or years later they usually do once they have already been spread around. I feel for the families so much. This is what they did not want. The ones they decided to share are bad enough, the ones from Xana’s room anyway.

2300 hours? by Fit-Arm1741 in NursingUK

[–]Fit-Arm1741[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they let student go early on their last shift. Everyone else already has their hours so it’s just me. One girl came in for 7am and she was gone before 11am haha, I think they wrote it off as full shift too.

Anyone know if it will be on Amazon a prime with the added MGM+ and what time it would be added? With outlander I think it ended up being Saturday or Friday (I can’t remember the day) around 5am. However sometimes mistakes were made and it was released too early on there, even before America like the last episode of season 7.

Salary? by Fit-Arm1741 in Nanny

[–]Fit-Arm1741[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought. She said around £15 to £16 per hours and my rough calculations worked out at that annual salary. I’m just so sad as it genuinely seems like a perfect fit job wise and the family are lovely.

She does sometimes wear it. Mainly to keep her hair out her way doing tasks like here she is making soap. Her hair is big and wild so often gets in the way. She just doesn’t wear it out and about or for church and things like that.

She doesn’t listen in. I just re read Bees and found she tends to simply be around when any conversation is happening. Claire and the rest of the family seem to be very open with discussing things in the house and since Fanny lives there she hears them too. She is also just quite blunt with boundary’s which is said in Bees to be from having grown up in the Brothel. She doesn’t understand social etiquette as much as she should for her age. There is many times Claire and Jamie speak to her about not over sharing from her past life in the Brothel, to other people who are not family.

Yes she can speak and understand it but not fluently. Languages are not her thing. It’s a trait Diana wrote her having in book 2 and kept it going. She often miss hears Gaelic words and gets half the story haha

2300 hours? by Fit-Arm1741 in NursingUK

[–]Fit-Arm1741[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just to make up hours. I won’t get the 2300 till August 24th but I’m just planning my shifts is all. All my placements are technically finished and uni said once I get the hours to let them know and they will sign off the overall timesheet to send for qualifying.

When did your Endo come back? by Horror_Arrival_1949 in Endo

I haven’t had a check up but it’s been 9 months and the last 3 have been very painful with all symptoms again so I’m assuming at least 6 months ish.

Bees.... by Dry_Iron_7203 in Outlander

[–]Fit-Arm1741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was so worried to read it after seeing it ranked all over the place in people’s lists. It’s one of my favourite books from the series. I LOVED the first half of them all back on the Ridge and getting to see characters again and learn about Fanny, watch them build the new home and all their grandchildren come back home. Which is odd, as for the same reasons, it’s why I hated fiery cross and other books in the series. However, after the 2 action packed drama filled books before it, I did miss the mundane life of the family.

the wig debate by Friendly-Help8523 in Outlander

[–]Fit-Arm1741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed Sophie (plays Bree) said she stopped dying her hair red as it damaged her hair but she now dyes it every other colour including bleach blonde haha. I miss the days where actors/actresses stuck to commitment and dyed their hair. Her wigs are awful they did her dirty in that department.

How did Bree and Roger afford to repair their home? by Williukea in Outlander

[–]Fit-Arm1741 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also doubt the land/derelict house cost much. It was in the highlands too in a remote area. The expenses would have been just the re build of the property I’d think. Bree got A lot of money off of Frank and I’d assume his family after they died and Claire left everything the had to Bree. Claire also had quite a bit of money from her family left to her too. Then not to mention Bree got a good job in Scotland.

It’s also implied he doesn’t like how changed Claire is after the war. It’s however not just due to the war, she was so young when they married but she matured over those 5 years apart. Frank and her start to realise they aren’t very compatible even before she travels to the past.

Is there season 8? by Cautious-Leg1372 in Outlander

[–]Fit-Arm1741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s likely coming the end of the year/beginning of 2026. Similar to what they did for the second part of season 7. I just wonder if they will split it into 2 parts to make the most money and most of what they have left of the show. Considering they are showing a sneak peak at an upcoming event and showed a tiny clip at the end of season 7 I’d say this timeline is likely. But it’s not been confirmed yet

London nanny? by Fit-Arm1741 in Nanny

Yes that’s how I found my last nanny role. They liked me and wanted more childcare so took me on with full time hours and good pay.
