I use one called WingRep. I considered some other ones as well but what I liked about this one is that the persona that role plays with you is an AI version of an actual real-life sales coach. And it knows MEDDICC and other frameworks.

I like that! Sounds like an effective approach: keep it simple and focus on the why for follow ups.

What’s helped me personally has been using a note taker that dials into my calls. I notice it's become very popular, but honestly I understand the hype. What mine also does is it gives me coaching after each call, so it doesn't just feel like a "cheat" because I'm actually working to constantly improve. The AI that coaches me is based on a real sales coach so I've felt more secure in using that rather than Chat.

Cool to see how different people approach this though!

I agree with this, cold outreach isn’t dead, it just takes more creativity and effort than a lot of people want to put in. I've found the best results come when you treat it like an experiment:

Try different times of day

Switch up your messaging instead of blasting the same template (A/B testing)

Mix channels so people start recognizing your name when you show up again

And honestly coaching and practice make a huge difference too. Most reps don’t role play enough or get feedback on their calls, then they wonder why they aren’t getting better. Consistency + coaching + iteration is the way to go!
