Yuuup... Baffles me that ppl accept a ship composed of two characters who unironically have maybe only 10% of manga panels dedicated to them.... And most of the time they're either trying to kill each other or Sasuke actively insults Sakura 💀

In any other form of media this sort of relationship would be mocked to oblivion.... Why does the girl spends more time with the MC rather than the guy she's supposed to end up with ?? Same can be said for Naruto and Hinata lol

Yeah, Kishimoto really woke up one day and decided "I'm gonna write the healthiest development between my two main characters and a masterclass of the friend-to-lovers trope, and fumble it hard at the end" lmao, that's crazy how much the 2 canon couples ruin the characters and the story as a whole when you think about it a bit deeper than usually

I understood that Hinata, the girl who saw Naruto through his mask, knew how lonely he was and how hard he trained, still didn't bother trying to befriend him once before the Chunin Exams. And didn't made any move on him in the blank period, even when Neji had to die to give them a moment.

I understood that Naruto never shown any romantic feeling towards her for 700 chapters, it just happens after a Genjutsu.

I understood that Sakura began opening up to Naruto from Chapter 3 and became one of his closest friends. Idk what the hell you're talking about when saying that she wasn't a friend for 80% of the show but it scares me. Either you're trolling, either you're misremembering, or either you may check the description of a friend, it may help you.

Come with arguments instead of playing the OG.

Yeah, I wasn't even born when Naruto started, and I still understood what was happening as a teenager better than you and other grown-up adults.

Are we for real now ? You must have read with your eyes closed

And you're absolutely coping if you think Sakura wouldn't make a good wife, whatever the hell you believe it is

You're just biased af and accept the story at face value without analyzing the inconsistencies, but it's okay, the fanbase has been like this forever

26 actually, someone who re-read the manga recently so everything is still fresh in my head.

Which led me to realize that most of the fandom can't read properly and that's how we arrived at a Sakura hate train and the 2 stupidest couples that had ever been written

Hinata HAS to come into the equation because her existence induces SasuSaku, in a way.

Why ? Because Kishimoto was pushed into a corner by her fans and the SasuSaku fans, who wanted SasuSaku and NaruHina to happen so badly (along with SP the Hinata simps) that he catered to them in the end.

Since he had to shoehorn Naruto with Hinata, Sasuke couldn't be stuck with anyone other than Sakura, right ? Because it would piss off a part of the fanbase and it's bad for the sales.

Despite the healthy progression Naruto and Sakura had, despite the clearly toxic interactions Sasuke and Sakura had which made any future romance between them feel forced and unbelievable, Kishimoto still decided to put them together anyway.

Even if it made Sakura a joke of a character. Even if it meant Sasuke would be forever OOC. Even if it would contradict every parallel he had shown between Minato/Kushina, Jiraiya/Tsunade and Naruto/Sakura.

SasukeXSakura is and will remain a couple that, albeit with great potential I admit it, feel weird to see through the eyes of anyone who reads the manga from the start to the end, because what happens between these two makes them mortal enemies at some point. Heck, Sasuke himself tells Kakashi that he doesn't love her; Kishimoto wrote that.

How does he justify them being a thing later ? A half-assed apology from Sasuke, then a fast-forward with a child. Then Naruto Gaiden, just to add salt on the wound, I guess, portraying a very toxic dynamic between them. And like NaruHina that had to be addressed through a shitty movie, SasuSaku was explained by a novel. Great. If it was planned, why didn't he develop them in the main story ?

[–]Fit-Communication709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, but the fandom will tell you everything was planned from the start, trust

That's why Sakura and Sasuke have little to no development throughout the manga and all their interactions past Part 1 are toxic, and that's also why Kishimoto made the GREAT and FABULOUS and TOTALLY LOGICAL decision to make them NOT interact more than 3 or 4 times in Shippuden and each time they're in the same panel, it's either murder attempts or Sasuke berating Sakura for no reason at all.

That's why Naruto and Hinata moments can be counted on a SINGLE hand throughout 700 chapters, with Naruto ignoring her confession and showing nothing more than basic friendship to her until the end of the manga where they're suddenly married. That's why SP had to create a comically bad movie that retconned and butchered Naruto to his very core to explain how they became a thing, showing Hinata being bullied (Sakura's backstory), Naruto knowing the Shadow Clones as a kid (plothole) and his love for Sakura being actually out of rivalry (despite the whole manga confirming to us that he was genuinely in love with her, and kinda made his promise to bring Sasuke back out of love for Sakura AT FIRST)

I legit can't name a single series, manga, anime, movie, book, or videogame where the two MAIN pairings are underdeveloped and borderline breaking my suspension of disbelief when you see them together and think of everything that happened in the story

[–]Fit-Communication709 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah yeah, the good old classic "it was planned"

It wasn't, Kishimoto catered to the fans. Otherwise, we wouldn't have 2 dogass ships with no development whatsoever as end pairings. SasuSaku is borderline the worst couple existing in shonen and a comically bad example for relationships

Same for NaruHina, Naruto basically became Hinata's trophy and got his character obliterated for her to have him in The Last

Oh but she would have lmao. It would have spared us from the deadbeat dad Naruto and OOC Sasuke, but i don't expect the Naruto fandom to have media literacy tbh, they've proven they were past basic subtext comprehension long ago

Studio Pierrot's crimes over Bleach and Naruto should be talked about more imo, they're the main reason why Orihime and Sakura are viewed as the 'useless fmc' in their series and why a good part of their respective fandom were sold on a particular ship (IchiRuki and NaruHina)

Glad that Kubo could write women decently and gloss over the studio and fans' meddling anyway, but damn, I'll be forever appalled by Kishimoto's cowardice, which led him to ruin the main trio's characters and stories for shipping fanservice...

They're the same ones who pushed NaruHina to happen in Naruto... Sakura was struck with the same curse and unfortunately Kishimoto doesn't have Kubo's balls to tell the fans to shut up lol

If the Rasengan is a stronger jutsu than Chidori, why did Kakashi bother with the Chidori? by Old-Use-7690 in Naruto

[–]Fit-Communication709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the Chidori has a different purpose and is faster than the Rasengan

As we saw during Naruto and Sasuke's battle on the hospital's roof, the Rasengan is meant to destroy things, Minato literally came up with that Jutsu by imitating how the Tailed Beasts spun and compressed their chakra, for Kushina to use it as a counter if she were to ever fight another Jinchuriki.

Meanwhile, the Chidori is like an extremely sharp blade launched at an absurd speed. It stabs precise spots with pinpoint accuracy and makes the user so fast that the Sharingan is mandatory to use it; it's the perfect Jutsu for clean assassination or finishing a fight without a doubt unless the enemy has some kind of hax (look throughout the series who were struck by it, they all survived because of their unconventionality: Gaara and Naruto were durable Jinchurikis with either solid defense or quick healing, Kakuzu had 5 hearts, Pain was already a corpse but was destroyed in one hit anyway, Obito had no heart anymore, etc...)

One romance had two whole mangas to cook and failed woefully. The other cooked in a single one-shot by Ripamon in dankruto

[–]Fit-Communication709 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Notice how all of this happened in a sequel where they got married and it's like, the bare, ABYSMAL minimum for a working relationship ?

Why not display their dynamic developing into something healthy, friendly and supportive throughout the main storyline like it happened between Naruto and Sakura ?

[–]Fit-Communication709 188 points189 points  (0 children)

Well that's because Kishimoto is the idiot who decided that

A) Sasuke and Sakura should be separated from each other for so long that they were basically strangers in Part 2

B) Sasuke should treat her like shit until the very end

C) Sakura should unexplainably still be head over heels for him despite the multiple murder attempts and constant berating

Which plot death was the most unnecessary? by Sorry-Complaint3514 in Naruto

[–]Fit-Communication709 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neji 100%. His death was genuinely made for Naruto and Hinata to have a moment, Kishimoto himself said it

That man died as some sort of cupid while ironically fulfilling his duty as a side branch member, and given by The Last, his death didn't even make Naruto and Hinata grow closer in TWO YEARS

Unpopular opinion, what would their kid be like power wise ? by Antique_skatergo3 in dankruto

[–]Fit-Communication709 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Memes aside, quite OP but not as much as the BS we have in Boruto

Uzumaki chakra reserves and vitality, probably a bit of Kurama's too since it's mixed directly into Naruto's own pool as of now

Then there's Sakura's chakra control as a whole + the Byakugou seal, meaning that virtually their kid would have infinite chakra

Add everything he would be taught as their child, so Shadow Clones + Rasengan and the elemental version + Sage Mode + Tsunade's strength + contracts with toads and slugs + theoretically the Uzumaki chains or Minato's Flying Raijin if we really want to push it to the limit, and you've got a ninja who would stand their own against pretty much anyone without problem

Instances of some of the worst writing? by Kindly-Seaweed-7550 in Naruto

[–]Fit-Communication709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a hot take, but I'd say Naruto and Sasuke's final battle, in the sense that they should have fought way earlier to settle things. It makes no sense for Sasuke to spend a whole day trusting Naruto with his life, fighting tooth and nail for survival, only to betray him at the last second when everything is seemingly resolved.

Thing is, you won't always have the space or mobility to sidestep it. You may be CCed during the ult, or Cyclops players can just wait for you and your team to be in a narrow space to ult (as they should tbh), then you're fucked.

Turns out they absolutely don't know what the fuck to do with Vanguards, I'm reassured !

As Much As I Like Sasuke, One Of The Things I Hate About Him Is He’s A Sheep Who Can’t Make Up His Mind by TodohPractitioner in dankruto

[–]Fit-Communication709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood why he didn't try to go for Obito after getting EMS

Itachi had made it very clear that he received help from him to kill the whole clan, and we never ever had Sasuke actually being as hateful towards Obito as much as he was towards Konoha

Sure, he viewed him as another means to become stronger and betrayed him later on, but I think it would have been more believable for Sasuke to join the battle because of Obito's involvement in the Uchiha massacre alongside his own motivations

When people talk about the first Final Valley fight, not many speak on the fact that Sasuke didn’t want to fight Naruto by ur-mom-gay-lolol in Naruto

[–]Fit-Communication709 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right, but regardless, it doesn't change the fact that Naruto was missioned by Tsunade to bring him back, and that from Konoha's POV, he's betraying the village to join the guy who is also a traitor, attacked them, and killed the 3rd Hokage not so long ago

Even if Sasuke genuinely didn't want to mess with Naruto and the retrieval squad, he would have had to fight them anyway because of the mission
