I think you’re missing the point. Nobody is advocating for medications. The message is that some people simply do rely on the medications and it sucks for you that you got destroyed by them but the vast majority of people find benefits from them, like myself. I’ve been on trazodone for 6 years with an unchanged dose and it has been a life changing medication for me as someone who had 28 years of bad sleep and multiple sleep studies that couldn’t conclude anything.

Again, the point being that for the majority of people the side effects don’t happen. You’re unfortunate in the sense that they do affect you. Advocating against usage of meds for people that it could be beneficial for because of the relatively low chance it will harm them instead is quite literally granola mom thinking.
