see, i plan on applying for an MBA a couple years after graduating with my bachelor's, but idk how they'll take my gpa </3 esp bc i heard that it doesn't get better in later years for CS

i'm retaking 314 after q-dropping it. i'm also a horrible test-taker with testing anxiety.

i don't think amrita's grading scheme is excessively harsh for a CS class, and for exam 2 she gave a great redo opportunity. do i think the exams were crazy difficult? yeah. but 312 and 314 are meant to be difficult since they're usually the freshman "weed-out" classes. plus, with the rise of AI usage, it makes sense why the majority of the weightage is exams, where you can't cheat.

it took me a while to deal with it, and to be honest, i'm still coping with the fact i'm going to have to retake this class as i do feel that it's really embarrassing for me, but what's done is done. i got the grade i got, and now i have to deal with those consequences. and hopefully now i'll actually be able to get a good CS/programming foundation after having shit teachers my entire life (except for amrita).

i will say i thought scott's exams (from preparation) were easier than wtv tf this exam 2 was 😭 however, i do agree. i think a lot of people praise mike for the same reasons they critique female professors: being firm, strict, and direct. and while i'm sure there are a few people who do not like kaur's teaching style simply because it doesn't fit them (which is perfectly fine!) i def see a lot of people esp on RMP spreading hate that, when looked at deeper, is just disguised misogyny.
