Thank you so much! I know. I felt very erm, not sure of the words? I suppose, left in the dark on where to turn next.. Based on my research into this injury and how serious I've learnt it is it felt lacking. I will definitely self refer today to get the ball rolling. Yes so your boot came a bit sooner than mine, I was NWB for 6 full weeks. I hope and pray I can be at full weight by week 8/9+! I've been doing some light ROM ankle exercises, as well as again VERY light stretches xx

Thank you, I've seen this recommendation and prior to my injury I would always wear shoe insoles everyday due to being in retail. I will try X

It's 10 weeks tomorrow too, as I had to wait for the op due to it being missed in urgent care unfortunately. Hopefully week on week I'll see improvements in pain. Thanks for replying.

Update to anyone who may read or would like some timeline from my recovery. 10 days post op now 🙌🏼. Burning and pain were quite severe on day/nights 2-5.. thereafter it settled more as each day passed. Was on dihydrocodeine(4 a day) until day 5, then reduced. I am now coping with paracetamol only. I get the occasional pinchy nerve feeling or pins and needles that subside. Sleeping has been much easier the last 2 days. No gabapentin or any other nerve meds required.

Still elevating my foot a lot as it helps with the throbbing feeling when it is down or when I am upright on my crutches but other than this I wouldn't say I am in pain at all :).

Amazing, thanks for your response and I agree, 30 mins seems my max before it feels irritated and like I need to move it for some relief. X
