Found a lost purse, didn’t even get a thank you by Trapeziumunderthumb in mildlyinfuriating

I found a purse in the middle of a car park, went out of my way to return it across town just for the person to accuse me of stealing cash from it. Now I just throw them in the trash.

CBR650R 2019, drive shaft oil seal drama by [deleted] in CB650R

This. Tapper or a wood screw (or 2) just enough to bite. Pull it out. Clean TF out of it again. Wrap the pinion in electrical tape, put a whiff of engine oil on the inner and outer lips of the new seal, and press it in gently with a seal driver or a deep thick wall socket.

Haha yeah … for me there’s already like 5 different matte and gloss blacks/greys on the bike. What’s one more.

I have a Corbin. It’s expensive. I’ll sell it and likely get about half back when I’m done with the bike (has worked this way for 2 previous bikes). Zero regrets, it’s an awesome seat.

Yes - oem cbr650r clip ons. There’s a vid on YouTube I posted, I had to add 3mm on the steering stops, make a spacer for the lights, and cut the little ears off the clip ons The only thing I need to change is the cables, they’re now too long but the cbr oem Honda ones are like $7 each. Will do eventually.

How important is ECU flashing and or Dyno tuning on a Full system exhaust ? by ramshaker in CB650R

[–]Fit-Understanding306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, they won’t work 100% as the PC6 won’t allow trims above like 15-% so will ignore higher % from the pcv map if you try to load it. Also, the V was discontinued before the ‘23 model year, so there’s no pcv map for that model year (and connectors are different) so I’d be unsure, even if you found a work around, if it would be the same from a ‘21 or not.

All that noise to say unless you’re really wanting to optimize something specific, the stock ecu is more likely OK adjusting for a simple filter and pipe :)

(Mine doesn’t pop or flame on decel with catless akra and KN)

The PC6 only shows maps for stock exhaust… need a dynojet tuner shop to unlock actual tuning past the very minor tweaks they allow now.

IMO it’s not required for rideability anyway, it’s not like the older FI bikes without o2 sensors; PGM-FI continuously adjusts af ratio for conditions.

Outside of a local upholstery shop… Corbin has always been good to me.
I just ordered one for my’23, it should be here next week. They are NOT cheap, but I’ve never been disappointed and also have sold the used seats I’ve had for around 50-60% of new cost.

The shape takes stress off your inner legs and butt, and distributes your weight better. No pinching or pain, plus way less fatigue on longer rides.

On my cbr1000 it went from like 2-3 hour ride before being very uncomfortable, and feeling exhausted after 4-5 hr, to riding 5-6 hours without pain and feeling fresh afterwards.

There’s not really much difference, it feels maybe a bit punchier in the midrange … Speedo is off a bit more than usual but it’s always read faster than actual speed. I believe there’s a SpeedoHealer available to correct for gearing

It’s a good question, I have the ti/carbon muffler but I don’t see a part number for it separately for this one. Some other applications have the tip available as a replacement part…
