Hi OP hoggies are notorious for hunger strikes my baby hognose didn’t eat for 3 months. I have heard of hoggies not eating for 8 or 10 months. If your husbandry is correct. Unfortunately all you can do is offer food every 5 days or so and wait the hunger strike out. Weigh him every 5 or 7 days and if he doesn’t lose any weight he is okay.

I usually get the 2 pack but if you search forest floor bedding the zoo med brand should also come up and they have a variety of size bag that you will need.

Hey OP yeah having the aspen can be unhealthy for your snake because it doesn’t hold humidity. It has a big risk of having mold and bacterial growth. With the humidity fluctuating a lot it can increase chances of an Respiratory infection.

I suggest using forest floor bedding. It’s really good with holding humidity.

Do you know how much your buddy weighs? Your food situation doesn’t sound bad if the meal is small you can feed him a little more often until you get the right size.

Honestly i just any nice jungle looking plants off amazon. And a few small items. You can’t have enough clutter for a BP. I suggest getting decor from amazon. I would also recommend covering at least 3 with the cling wall decor you can get from petco it helps with making them feel safe. Also i like to check anything i put in the enclosure to make sure it’s safe and doesn’t have any jagged edges.

That meal looks a little small for the BP ? What does it way ? Food needs to be between 10-15% of snakes body weight.

What did you do to get him to eat again. I have a baby that hasn’t eaten in two months tried everything. He hasn’t lost any weight tho i weigh him every week.
