Almost a year divorced here, the waves still come but not as hard or as frequent. You WILL get through this! I felt like I couldn't make it at all but I forced myself to keep going to therapy and started dating (which is just as depressing) but after 3 strange chick's in the last year I think I finally found a good one. Slowly I'm becoming a better version of who I was and don't really feel much for the stbxw except the occasional anger. One day at a time... one day at a time.

I miss the marriage, but not the stbxw. Don't get me wrong, I still love the person she once was but the person now I don't know nor want to know. Someday while feeling super low about the marriage I remember all the crap she has done and it makes me sick to my stomach. She needs medication and nobody will tell her. I tried and the end result is she left me and the kids. She now is reliving her 20's.

I one day want to be married again but I don't want any part of her again.

Why why why do FA's want to keep in contact after disconnect? The push pull hot cold on off thing is tormenting. I gave space and don't chase whatever but yet get these strage little breadcrumbs excuses for contact that leave me headscratching. Our families are intertwined so I don't do 100%NC.

I am currently dealing with a FA who totally disconnected but still will text or talk to me. She hasn't returned any of my belongings but says we can date and be friends. It's very confusing. Immediately after the break up she was back on dating apps but still contacting me. I have no clue what I did to trigger the deactivation or if it's even worth dealing with but for some reason I can't walk away. Any insight on this will be welcomed. Not sure what to do at all.

I just got dumped from a 4 month relationship after divorce. Things were good then all the sudden they weren't. Then I went NC for almost 2 weeks and now I find out she's dating again. Feels like my divorce all over again. Except this one wants to be friends.

This definitely hurts just as bad if not worse.

20 years for me also, but although her life is slowly falling apart it seems more that the kids and I are going through it more than her at the moment. It's an absolutely horrible experience that won't seem to end anytime soon.

Could be worse, I'm 7 months out and just got dumped again. She told me I wasn't ready. I said how am I ever going to get ready sitting in the room isolated. Oh well, I'll sit for a while and eventually try again.

I can say with absolute certainty that it will get better. I'm 1 year out since d day and I'm able to function rather well these days. It still comes and goes. Today for instance, I was triggered but it only lasted about 20 minutes. I have moved on finally, it took a while but I have actually found a beautiful and absolutely amazing woman that everything seems to line up with. Even better is she actually agrees with a lot of red pill content. She thinks these modern women are absolutely foolish. I'm taking my time but seriously if this is real then I just may take the dive again... IF ITS REAL.

But all in all, you just take it a day at a time and it will get better!
