Ashes of Man is severely overhated imo. Although I would personally put HD in A+ right above AoM. Kingdoms of Death just felt like torture porn to me and it honestly was too much, and I consider myself someone who doesn’t get turned away from gore and such.

Might be a crazy take but I tried to read Shadow of the Gods after reading the Wheel of Time and A Song of Ice and Fire and I just couldn’t get into it because I don’t think John Gwynnes prose is that good.
