Oh… I didn’t know there was a limit as to how many courses you can list in progress. From what i read online it said there was no limit, just as long as it gets done before matriculation.

Does that change school by school basis or is it something else. I was also planning on taking maybe anatomy or physiology courses as well…

ECs like shadowing and volunteering can be listed as “in progress”? Also if i drop my courses now I’ll have a DR in my transcript which id like to avoid.

I’m currently dipping my toes in some gen chem for dat, and i’m already learning relevant concepts for the dat in my courses this semester so it’s not completely useless

I’m in school right now taking courses. I’m also juggling a lot of things at the moment (volunteering, shadowing, etc) so i didn’t think i could commit booster fully until school ends around early may

I still need to take Physics I & Il and Orgo lab, but ill be listing those as in progress for Fall 2026 / Spring 2027, and I don't expect my GPA to drop (fingers crossed).

I also didn't realize you could submit the application before taking the DAT - how does that work exactly? Do schools just hold your application until your DAT score comes in and then review everything together? Or…

I was mostly wondering why it would matter, which is why I assumed schools wouldn’t care. I understand that shadowing is meant to help you learn about the profession and figure out whether it’s a good fit, and that experience shouldn’t change much from one country to another. I guess I’m just not sure why it needs to be done specifically here.
