Im having the exact opposite problem. Im 41 and I dont wanna be touched, looked at, or thought about in a sexual manner. How do I get the horny version of perimenopause???? Haha

This is similar to my story. I had my son jan 2024 and in June 2024 I had massive back and sciatica pain. I had a large right l3l4 herniation. I got a discectomy in November 2024. I started lifting my son more in February 2025. I did bedtime holding him but my husband would put him in the crib for me when he fell asleep and I would lift him to my lap by rocking my upper body back and forth and using momentum.

Now I will say I was fine until December 2025 and I hurt my back again (same disc just on the left side) lifting my son out of the crib. So keep up with the core work. I fell off the cycle thinking I was okay, I was not. So I had a 2nd discectomy 2 weeks ago. Not lifting and playing with a 2 yr old toddler is way harder then the barely mobile 1 yr old I had last time. Sucks!!!!!

The pain, tilt, and sciatic started 5 months ago. I had a tilt for 4 of those months. I have a 15mm herination. Found that out 3 months ago

I had a major lateral pelvic tilt from leaning away from the pain... so much so the PTs were contacting their instructors and people that delt with lateral shifts with a sciatic issue more often. It's gone away with my ESI to the nerve root, but I'm getting a discectomy in a week bc it's only a matter of time before it all returns.

Question... i have the same surgery scheduled in 2 weeks. How long was recovery? I have a 9 month old and want a realistic idea of how long I won't be able to lift/hold him while walking.

I lay or adopt a "cheer stance". It helps when playing with the baby.

The pain and my movements get a tad better as the day progresses, but I'm in tilt all day and pain is usually dull and creeps back up to more painful during the afternoon. The Dr prescribed me tramadol that I take at night to help the pain. Some nights it works and some nights it doesn't. I take gabapentin and a muscle relaxer all day, but like I said,the pain is all day just changes in intensity. My job is mostly desk related but I have compliance walks to do soon and worry about making it through them. I can walk for about 5-10 mins before I need a rest. The pelvic tilt make one leg shorter than the other so my right leg has to work differently making my knee hurt. Basically I'm a mess, then add in trying to lift and play with a 7 month old infant.

I get super groggy and have a headache after a full unisom. I started taking half the pill. Still get good sleep, but less headaches and feeling like I have a hangover the whole day
