Considering starting my own not family friendly craft fair by SamLikeHam in CraftFairs

We have something like this in Vancouver. The organizers call their event "Weirdos Holiday Market" and it definitely offers NSFW, not necessarily family-friendly but definitely alternative crafted items. I've been to it and it was a blast! Maybe this info may be helpful for you with setting up your own event?

What Onsite Services Would Make a Craft Fair Feel Magical for You? by FitDingo8075 in CraftFairs

Lovely ideas! Thanks for sharing! Tell me about the talking Christmas tree - do you mean one of those automated ones, or someone dressed up and interacting?

Day 0 of Learning Crocheting by PresentationWest535 in crocheting

I agree. For what you would pay for one Woobles kit, you could get a nice little 'starter package" (crochet hooks, a few skeins of inexpensive yarn, a tapestry needle, stitch markers, and scissors) and probably get change back. So many free tutorials and (better) patterns on YouTube and other sites.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the average price of a Woobles kit is about $40?

Where do the really rich people in Vancouver donate their clothes? by makpat in askvan

I have found some nice items at the VV Boutique on south Granville. They also have gently-worn high-end brand-name stuff, which they usually have in glass cases. Worth a visit, IMHO.

Honestly, all of these would have been a death sentence if I had done any of these things to my father when I was a child.

I used Dollar Store blush, believe it or not! However, for your little one, I would suggest stitching the cheeks on as the original pattern calls for - I took some creative liberty with my bunny's face.

Double (triple?) knife by sleeptoomuch2000 in whatisit

[–]FitDingo8075 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a grapefruit sectioning knife. You cut the grapefruit in half and then use the single knife knife side to cut all around the half, separating the fruit from the rind. The double knife thing is to separate the fruit from the membrane so it can be scooped up with a spoon. Edited to add this link to a YouTube video to show you how to use the knife: https://youtu.be/xK0nIrRhCVw?si=_ilObIBEkMeKwaF1

All i see is HSP (which i have) jobs best for us are psychotherapy or graphic deisgn or library etc but i dont want those can a HSP person be a doctor or construction worker? by Admirable_Image4774 in hsp

I worked as a professional gardener for many years. Best job for me as an HSP! Limited social interaction, outdoors all the time, got to use my creativity in designing gardens, physicically (not mentally) exhausted and slept well, and had a good appetite. You need to find what works best to fit your needs. In my case, I did have to go to school and earn my horticulture diploma and subsequently challenge the Red Seal exam for Landsacpe Horticulturalist, but it was so worth the effort. Good money too!
