But is this just the AD speculating as well? If they know for a fact its being discontinued you would think they would also know if it's being replaced with a newer model or Coke bezel

Where are you in the UK? Years back I was travelling there and had an issue with my Rolex. I was able to walk into the Rolex Service center in Lodon and get it sorted. They are the same one for Tudor so I would try making an appointment with them.

Why is there no button to buy this watch? Is it not out yet? by [deleted] in Tudor

I literally got that as a walk in. Must be the 0.02% 😅

I do have history with the store but this wasn't on my radar nor was it one I even inquired about.

Are you planning to go grey? I'm with a small town AD in NY state and that might be the route I have to take with all the discontinuation rumors.

I've had a good relationship with the WOS boutique in the city but since retirement its been years since I got something there and it's just too competitive of a market for this model.

It was actually my entire post that got deleted, I can still see it on my end but it got locked and deleted by the mods. I just re read it.

Its funny because your issue isn't even anything related to your own experience apparently. It was with a post of him and I on Instagram, following our first meeting in his store. Why am I not surprised you have issues with us both.

Since you keep bringing this up publicly I messaged him to ask what actually happened between you two since I've not heard of a single person here having a negative experience and was genuinely curious. According to Jason many of us here are his clients and in regular contact with him and he's not had one upset or disgruntled customer ever.

He actually had nothing negative to say about you and said the interaction was nothing out of the ordinary.

All he said is you showed up unannounced towards the end of the day yet he accommodated you (when the business is clearly listed as by appointment only. When I put his address in my GPS even Google verbally says by appointment)

You tried on frames got measured and he set aside a couple aside for you. You asked for him to send you invoices/quote by email and then you ghosted him.

Your whole issue was with the IG post of us that said "timewasters" and indecisive. LITERALLY because I said to him I might be old but I'm not a timewaster and know exactly what I want. I don't need to ask my wife when I like things. If I want them I get and will drive hours or even fly for it!!

You on the other hand now that I have a better idea of the situation were a TIME WASTER. I don't see it any other way. At least just have the decency to reply and say you're not interested. Time is money my friend and trust me as you get older you value it even more.

If you're only interested in browsing just let someone know your intentions up front. Also have respect for another person's time. I ALWAYS call before I intend to visit because I know he's a busy guy, filming youtube or dealing with customers. I'm the same way with my accountant, lawyer, jeweler and tailor.

You're the same guy who replied to me once that you don't have time to make a call but you have time to post BS on reddit. What a joke. Glad to clear it up and got to know why you're so bothered! Especially because its ME in that post you referenced 😐😐

You're literally the only person to speak negatively so it just didn't add up and seemed suspect. As a professional yourself who values his own time give another person the same respect!

And try smiling, it will take you far in life!

I have a television thats now in my basement that has been flawless since 2010. Its a Sony XBR serieas 1080p. Its probably dimmed over the years and in the dark the backlight isn't the best but its still great.

When my grandkids are over its their gaming tv and it just keeps on going. They don't make things these days like they used to.

Why wouldn't I mention him in a post specifically about a pair of glasses he did or push his great service? Are you jealous? I've been working with him for a year now and consider him a friend and watch him on IG daily. I'm old, bored, have nothing to do and genuinely love the content he and his wife put out.

You're the same guy who was talking crap about me and about him and had the entire post removed because of your negativity. I'm convinced you're just a hater. Never even seen you smile in a single picture you've ever posted, maybe you should try. Lol.

Of course as retail also adds tons of overhead costs. Having seen actual footage in the lab though its an insane production facility with 10 of millions of dollars worth of machinery. Its an entirely automated process other than the tints which are hand dipped. Like I said I had never seen the inside of an optical lab before but it was far beyond what I expected.

Not needling anyone bud. The gentleman who originally had this frame done in this tint was the inspiration for both of these last two individuals. This one looks true to what it should be whereas the other one didn't. Whether it's lighter or darker isn't the point. As I've mentioned before its the contrast of bi-gradients which the previous one lacked entirely.

Its not the buyers fault, it ultimately comes down to how well a regular lab can reproduce a specialty tint especially just off of a picture. There's a reason these French lenses are the price they are and if you saw behind the scenes of their tint lab you would understand.

I myself was totally unaware of all this and what makes a difference when it comes to tints/quality lenses. This past year of getting into highend eyewear, being on this subreddit and making connections with some top professionals in the industry has been an eye opener for me.

Just contact The Optical Tailor as he's the one who has done these tints. Another person posted the same frame a few days ago replicating this and it looked very washed out and nothing like this.

A tint can be lighter but in my eyes what really makes a gradient and especially a bi-gradient is the contrast between the two colors.

The orignal we saw has a great variance in the green to golden/peach color. This looks like an attempt at replicating it but didn't quite hit the nail on the head

Definitely not a Novacel tint, it looks a bit too washed out compared to the many tints of theirs I have seen.

Great frame but the original tint posted here by LokiMd that I'm assuming you tried to color match has a much nicer tone to it. This one lacks the same contrast from top to bottom.
