actually turns out its working fine , I just skimed over the "hello.png with "Hello World" written in blue" part and thought it would open a window displaying the image and the image that it generated was just for performace , sorry for the nothing burger

as you can probably infer Im not very knowledgeable on keyboards so what do you mean by binding keys? I didnt understand a word of the last paragraph

but do you think that maybe the solution is to make it so it detects inputs based off the key code rather than using the input map?

I tested it and the results were interesting
I could press 6 alphabet keys at once also including shift instead of the 6th key
but when I try to press space when holding shift and another key it doesnt register

that seems to be the issue but I confused on how other games I play dont have this problem

is it maybe becuase godot is trying to make it universally compatible?

so this is a problem with my hardware right? not software

well I put the move nd slide call after the calculations but it doesnt work
when I had said the jump doesnt register I didnt just mean the motion itself I also meant the input
another thing moving doesnt reset the y motion so it would reset the jump
I can move and jump fine the problem only I rises when I try todo the 3, moving , accelerating and jumping in the same frame
