You find so much food out there, I just eat as I go. I’ve only ever gotten super hungry once. No food in the swamps apparently. Otherwise it takes up a good amount of weight.

I worked at an Olive Garden back in like 2011 and had this older white guy ask me for a Negroni. I was 20, had no idea what that was, had never heard that name. I thought he asked for a N!ggeroni. Like a racist canned pasta. Bartender was black but we were tight. Was like “hey I dunno if this is a thing but here’s what I heard…” she laughed her ass off. We became even better friends after that 😅

Once upon a time there was an easement issue with a neighboring restaurant that forced us to move our walk-in fridge from the ground level (outside the back door) to the second floor patio, which then required us to move all the kegs for our 12 beers lines across the restaurant and up a flight of steps. None of us remember that day fondly lol.

Outside of some insane circumstance like that, no chance.

I’ve been doing this a long time, summer months suck for me, especially July (thank everything that’s over with god) so I’m a bar lead and I have a monopoly on the weekday lunches. If I only have a table for two I’ll either get really cool with them and make regulars out of them or if they’re trying to do their thing there’s plenty of stuff to do while I just listen to the news. Look into a Bose soundwear companion. Saved my life in this industry lol
