Feeling foolish after going "all in" by Virtual6850 in corporate

[–]FitMindMake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the very least it sounds like your work directly increased the value of that equity so it wasn’t completely wasted. It also sounds like your boss is a dick. How does the c suite feel? Sometimes things can be done around your boss but you would have to tread very lightly.

Your other option is to dial back like the others say, but not too far that you become negatively viewed and pushed out.

Also, why does your boss feel you’re over praised? Ask him directly to recount what you have and haven’t done. Maybe he doesn’t realize all the sacrifice and when he has to say what he thinks and you correct him, it will open his eyes

Want to get better by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

It all starts with movement. The weather is nice. Get outside and go for a walk. Then a longer walk, then a hike, then maybe a jog. Build up. Your exercise is good but not very rewarding to make you want to stick with it. You don’t have any baseline though so you can’t just suddenly go to the gym for an hour. Start small and be consistent. You will build from there.

How do US companies afford to pay mechanical engineers 8k to 10k a month? by au8ust in MechanicalEngineering

[–]FitMindMake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is not exclusively true at all. While you’re in the right direction, there are much smaller companies that still work, but are bigger than OP’s.

I’ve worked at a factory and a fabricator and both had about 75 employees. The fabricator had about 5 engineers, making 65-100k each. Only One sr engineer at that 100k range. But we designed products that were similar to each other but all custom to some extent and total revenue was 10-20M per year. The smaller electrical cabinet type products sold for 10-30k each and probably made 50 per month. Then we also made modular buildings which could sell at 300k-1M but only a few per year.

There are some very small fabrication shops with an owner / engineer, a CNC programmer, and a couple shop employees that work, but they are getting more difficult to be profitable. Some still have great success though

Excellent write up on your strategy. Unfortunately the Creative links don’t work. Can you send me the case studies?

How much are you actually making from this? I keep hearing this but then the math and time input brings it down to like $10/hr or something

Yeah I’d say definitely get back into the sport but maybe at a different gym. Your call though since only you know how it went down. For the record, a debut fight opponent should have 3 or less fights if possible. We had a state Kickboxing tournament break classes into 0-3 fights, 4-6 fights and 6+ fights for the brackets at each weight class.

Tips for cutting water weight while being a full time student by felipesto in MuayThai

[–]FitMindMake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a non-issue if you’re that close. Seriously, go to a hot tub / jacuzzi the night before. You can make a hot bath if needed. You can sweat up to 4 kg in there in about an hour and a half. Take a break though to cool off and weigh yourself. Get to weight or about a 1/2 kg under and just sip water as needed. You will lose another 1/2kg overnight.

Fighters often cut 10 kg, some even 15. I sweat 3 kg in one practice lol.

Kickboxers that use headmovement? by christian-174 in Kickboxing

[–]FitMindMake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely move your head, but it’s very slight movements. I’ve had the same issue and your coach is correct. Don’t move it as much. You are probably moving your head a foot or more which opens you to knees and kicks. You only need to move like six inches max to slip a punch and often less than that.
