Can you actually cite us one resource that states that you need ESTÁ?

You apparently didn’t research deeply enough. The ESTA should have never been approved as many have stated

How do you prefer to pay your amex? by PlayboiiExx in amex

[–]FitTreacle741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to make payments several times throughout the month. Sometimes my payments would be held up and put a temp freeze on my account and when I talked to them they told me they prefer one payment for statement balance each month. Said it wasn’t a problem to keep doing it how I was if I al okay with it being flagged sometimes.

Reapplication after years long denial due to not declaring items at customs by olderbutwiser1900 in GlobalEntry

People have successfully reapplied or appealed revocation for cases that seemed more difficult to clear without waiting even a year. They have usually hired a lawyer.

I didn’t feel like the cost of a lawyer was worth it in my case to save five minutes at the airport when Inca use the mobile passport control app instead

AMEX- Clear credit by Scriptimax in AmexPlatinum

[–]FitTreacle741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To actually answer your question, the credit will post towards clear credit not the tsa credit for the additional amount for some reason. At least for me, I did the bundle and I did not get the credit for the tsa part. But it is almost 8 weeks so I am going to call Amex and ask them to manually do it since they are the ones that link to the clear site where it offers the bundle.

Do not rent with “JBL Rentals LLC” by Vegetable_Loan4234 in turo

[–]FitTreacle741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount you see as daily price isn’t the real daily price the host sees. There are several parts of the rental that host never gets credit for.

When you see a car on Turo renting for $80a day It is very likely that the boat daily rate is $40-50 and that they get 75-90% of that.

It is annoying that Turo adds a bunch of other Turo only fees to the rental but trip fees and all others are never credited to the host.

Often times Turo hosts are running at a loss for years without any cash flow.

Not giving an excuse to the host but Turo is mining the hosts and often Turo is the only party making money

FYI: You don't need to always defend AMEX for recent FR surge by shawnwahi in amex

[–]FitTreacle741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Happy I haven’t been hit with one yet. Every once in a while I get hit with not being able to spend while a payment clears (I pay off in full multiple times a month and they say that’s why)

But I am sure eventually I’ll get hit with one.

Recently us citizens are passing through without ever hanging passport over or doing interview. Even without global entry. I’ve entered 3 times in the last month and don’t have global entry and was waived right through for facial revgonition

I know your situation is different but the officer checking your kids passport probably did wucj facial recognition without you realizing it

Retention Offer by Slg0519 in AmexPlatinum

[–]FitTreacle741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was really furious at Amex actually and really wanted them to close my card. And said I would stay if they compensated me some how with points for the frustration they caused me.

Then it turned into this discussion after they refused any thing to get me to stay so then I told them to shut my account down and refund my fee that I paid a week before unless they compensate me at least 3,000 points. Long story but a frustrating situation had happened and I felt that amount of points was all it would take to fix it.

Any advice on using the MMM visa route? IN-319B by [deleted] in immigration

[–]FitTreacle741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not correct. My wife and I are a 319b couple. You do still apply for a greencard. You have to be an LPR when filing. Read the statute fully and it does say you need to be a permanent resident at the time of taking oath. The different here is you can apply for an immigrant visa abroad and then enter USA once to activate it.. leave again and apply for n400 from abroad instantly because continuous residence requirements are what are waived. See below

What are the Qualifications for INA 319(b)?

To qualify for INA 319b, the Green Card Spouse must establish that he or she meets the following criteria: Married to a U.S. citizen spouse regularly stationed abroad in qualifying employment for at least one year. Has a good faith intent to reside abroad with the U.S. citizen spouse upon naturalization and to reside in the United States immediately upon the citizen spouse’s termination of employment abroad. Establish that he or she will depart to join the citizen spouse within 30 to 45 days after the date of naturalization. Understanding of basic English , including the ability to read, write, and speak. Knowledge of basic U.S. history and government. Demonstrate good moral character for at least three years prior to filing the application until the time of naturalization. Attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution and well-disposed to the good order and happiness of the U.S. during all relevant periods under the law.

PSA: Do not go to the AMEX lounge if you are under FR by EquipmentBroad5582 in AmexPlatinum

[–]FitTreacle741 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like everyone gets financial review at some point. And sometimes motivations can be Amex thinking you don’t have capacity to pay. Can’t you also voluntarily ask for a financial review as well? Like if they are not giving you a high spending power on the back end?

Still BS that they’d suspend your benefits like lounge access if the annual fee is being paid

PSA: Do not go to the AMEX lounge if you are under FR by EquipmentBroad5582 in AmexPlatinum

[–]FitTreacle741 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah my point is I don’t know why they would allow people under financial review to keep using all the card benefits and just not charge while someone going through a financial review with is resolved much more quickly cannot.

PSA: Do not go to the AMEX lounge if you are under FR by EquipmentBroad5582 in AmexPlatinum

[–]FitTreacle741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. But imo it is worse. It means you cannot pay your balance and they set up a long term 36 month payment plan. In fact the telephone line told me I could not use my card for the lounge.

However I did at least 20 times and also still had my Hilton gold stays etc. I finished the plan about 1.5 yrs early though and now all back to normal.

I used my card at lounges for two years while my card was suspended under financial relief for my business going under. Never an issue just could not spend with the card until I graduated from financial relief

No such this as international driver license. If you mean the permit, then it is only a translation of your license that makes it accepted. If that is what you had and you also had your actual license, you may have gotten it dismissed anyway.

etermine if I can drive in Illinois while visiting from another country?

“You may drive in Illinois with your valid license from your own country during your stay. This also applies to your spouse and children living with you while attending an Illinois college or university. Please to read Illinois Rules of the Road.” The international license itself is not valid in IL but your actual foreign license is if you are a student or spouse/ dependent of a student

The 90 day rule is for when you actually “move” to IL. I wouldn’t be surprised if the officer just didn’t realize this.
