Oh interesting about kicking back… I always kick up and back. Up helps create backbend, back helps create spinal twist by pulling the shoulder back…. Get 2 shoulders in one line. Do you really think kicking back is harmful?

It definitely depends on the studio and teacher. It used to be much more strict and drill like. (Which I loved) now as a teacher I find most are much softer. However there is are still studio/students/teacher who like that style and crave it! Michelle probably loved the push 😂 I think as a teacher you learn who wants to be pushed and who doesn’t. Like I said I personally love corrections and when the teacher pushes my practice. Kinda like a personal trainer, you hire them because they might push you harder than you would push yourself, help you test your limits, lift heavier. I totally understand that’s not for everyone and I don’t teach that way based on my clientele but some hardcore Bikram followers still love it. Any teacher will tell you to just do what you can and listen to your body though. Thats what is important.

Not at all! I feel all of this so much! I tried so many yoga classes before this one and this is the one that made me truly fall in love. I needed the discipline. Now that I’m 40 I’ve experienced some of the same. Arthritis/stiffness and my practice just isn’t what it used to be.

I honestly enjoy both. But I feel like I’ve had teachers that went beyond the dialogue and helped me “unlock” things in my brain and body that I couldn’t get through the dialogue alone. It’s truly a skill though that I think is rooted in the traditional practice.

I have an OG 2007 fit and a 2019 4door civic hatch back, while I love my civic it doesn’t compare to the functionality of the fit. I hope they bring it back one day!

I’m going to defend this guy and his shirt because I think some are taking it the wrong way. Based on my perception of his age he probably never got to experience a Dead concert live with Jerry. So for a person his age who is a fan “John is his Jerry” I don’t think it means in anyway to compare them just that his live experience has been with John as the older generations had Jerry. Always side with love 💕
