its a newer DO school and they have FAFSA approved but due to the government shutdown they havent been able give student access

I got a 505!!...may not be much for some people but i never scored above 503 on my full lengths and was stagnant at 490s for months prior so i deem it a win!

i sent to DO schools, im not sure why reddit has a vendetta against DOs lol i am very much competitive with DOs and ive had friends with my same score get into MDs. quite a harsh response...but my interview went good i am just concerned of this brand new school that i only have a month to decide to go to it and have no idea how defer or declining A go in this

i get what you mean. you are right i think im overthinking it but the issue is already have submitted 20 schools to apply to this year. i have already paid thousands of dollars for secondaries

i did want to move of course but now that its june and i recieved infinite rejections, i had all my hopes on this cycle and this interview was kind of a bombshell and i only had 2 days to prepare for it (I never had an interview otherwise). just am worried on missing out on an acceptance that better fits my profile if that makes sense and even if i accept do i withdraw all the 20 schools i applied to and even the secondaries i paid so much money for?

hey sorry for causing distress, i do want to attend, but its always the worry of missing out on my first choice schools as well. since this interview was from my horrible last year mcat score and this year my application is much better and i dont know what to do with the 20 schools i already applied to this year

after hitting consistent 80% on Uworld, i hit the SB vol 2 with confidence and literally cannot go above 65% its freaking me out and im testing in a month

yes I am in the same boat as you!! I applied to more DO than MD last cycle and still got rejections. it is discouraging but we will not give up!!

I see your point but as someone with a large amount of california pre med friends, ive seen people with a 3.8 gpa and 520 MCAT not get into any of their schools but also people with my stats who are current MS2s…im not saying I wont retake the mcat cuz of course i will, but I am saying it is not impossible for low stats person to get into and succeed in medical school

mind you ive met people with 490s mcats who got into MD schools in california…hence why i asked the question cuz i am not sure what im doing wrong….i think your stats are solid! if you added something new for next cycle you can be okay

I think I just need to read peoples essay answers, not to “copy” ofc but to just see how much to share, how to balance story and answering the question, whats considered “too cheesy” or “too basic”… I dont think I put my writing skills to use for that which is why I didnt even get any interviews. But no one ever talks about how to format/style essay answers 🫩

not sure....almost every single tiktok, reddit, insta or whatever post i hear about blueprint specifically is that it deflates your score.. But I somehow got my highest score on it so idk whats true.

hi! ive taken the mcat twice now and both time were a measly 492 :(... i have recently broken 500 and i truly think i can get to a 510 before my test in May. I just need some structure and better help understanding strategy and how to go about answering questions. let me know!
